Cheers

Its been a long journey back, seasons of mediocrity chopping and changing managers their wasnt even hope they'd return but in Paco he has really revitalised this team and made the right additions, and dispite the blip at the end of last season when they threw it away and lost in the playoffs, they have put their wrongs right this season  and you cant ask for more than that, Their a unit, a team its been a long time since I could say that about them

A playoff will decide next seasons third team, they will be contested by: Valladolid, Alcorcon, Hercules and Cordoba

Valladolid v Alcorcon in the final which will be over 2 legs,

Reckon Alcorcon would be a great addition, relatively unknown to many but famously dumped Real Madrid out the cup just a few seasons ago

Valladolid take the final spot

Not a surprise really, they've been mega hot since about March and it was only a 95th minute own goal (ouch) they conceded against Hercules with six games to go that gave Celta the slight advantage, in the end that probably was the difference for automatic promotion so they had a greater incentive to do it for Goncalves,

During the past few seasons a decent sized club has been relegated in La Liga

2011/2012: Villarreal
2010/2011: Deportivo La Coruña
2008/09: Betis
2007/08: Zaragoza
2006/07: Real Sociedad

I wonder if an other somewhat reputable team will get relegated again in 2012/13?

Barça are close to signing Valencia's LB Jordi Alba.

That's a great signing. The LB has been Barca's weakest link the last few years.

I wonder if Dani Alves are going or staying, rumours going around he wants an improved contract yet again.

Always rated Abidal personally although he obviously didn't play as much as he and Barca would have liked over the last couple of seasons.

It's not that random, Gladbach were looking for someone to replace Dante, the left sided centre-half they sold to Bayern. Dominguez is a left sided centre-half  ;)

Will fill in at LB perfectly in Barcelona's system - considering he was brought through La Masia.

funnily that seems the boards aim considering how they sack managers for finishing 3rd whilst selling off the best players :D

Basically yes, they need Champions League football every year and they probably need to make €20m in player sales every year on top of that to stay afloat. They have so much debt. Didn't they have to sell off their unfinished new stadium just to stay alive? They couldn't even wait another year or two for it to be built to remain in existence as a club.

Doing what they do (top 4 every year whilst selling their best players) is a miracle.

ASF, you know  if  A.Vazquez and/or Joselu are in the fransfer market?

I read somewhere Joselu was requesting a transfer to Portugal and I thought Alvaro deal  was almost done with BArcelona that apparently were quite interested.

I've heard that Benfica and Valencia are the ones fighting for A. Vazquez.  The Barcelona link i read about a couple of months ago but seems like it never picked up any steam.  Benfica and Valencia apparently are also after Didac Vila.

I am aware of how kneejerk this sounds, but can anyone else see Jordi Alba establishing himself as one of the best, if not the best left back in the world over the coming season? He was fantastic for Valencia last season, and he's slotted right in with the big boys for the national team.

It is scary but he'll be way better at Barca than he is at Spain.

Catalan, and a La Masia product too. He'll slot right in, and will probably be a mainstay at Barca for the next decade.
