Glad he is gone, should have gone a year ago. For me he highlights the club falling behind in the sense that he was never replaced earlier, we accepted averageness and have done for nearly 20 years. he got some important goals and at times did better than he should.

Was Kuyt only awful for you last season? I've been reading RAWK for years and it seems every season there is a long thread largelly criticising Kuyt and asking why Rafa keeps picking him etc, and then he'll have a run of form for 5-10 games and all will be forgiven and people will start talking about how hard he works etc. But for the majority of the time he's been with you, isn't a more honest reflection that his lack of ability has frustrated, but you've grown fond of him? I think because he's become seen as almost part of the furniture he'll go down as a good signing, but I'm not sure thats a true reflection of what I've seen of him at Liverpool or what I've read at RAWK for most of his time with you.

Regardless of what you think about him, he's given this football club 100% every time he pulled a Red shirt on... Can't fault his attitude...

I don't think this is the place to bad mouth him or to talk negatively of him.
The man always gave his all for this club, and for that alone he should be lauded. I'm not suggesting he shouldn't be sold, as he clearly is no longer of the caliber required to make us a top 4 team again, but the main will go down as a legend in my eyes.

Best of luck to him - we'll do well if his replacement can bang in 10-15 goals a season for 5 years, get a fair few assists and works his bollocks off the way Dirk has done for us - not forgetting that unique knack of being in the right place at the right time and to nick a goal in those big games.

He must have been a right difficult bastard to play against - there'll be a few fullbacks and midfielders up and down the country quite happy now he'll be playing in Turkey.

Thank you Kuyt for the great memories. We will miss you. A great servant to the club. That hattrick (less than two yards in all) against the mancs, how can we evert forget that. Have never seen anything like similiar & I doubt we will witness anything like that again.

Bit gutted really. I've criticised him at times but he was always one of my favourites. Top guy and Fenerbache have got themselves a good deal. Will miss him and his dodgy hair.
