very sad to see him go.
a top pro who never failed to stand up and be counted, never shirked his duties and gave everything.
along with some really memorable goals, especially at times when they were most needed.
he can leave us with his held held high.
so long Dirky and best of luck.

I'm also a Fenerbahce fan and from what the officials say, it's been 4 months since they first contacted Kuyt. So I'm guessing yes

I'm guessing Rodgers couldn't offer him regular games that he wanted ?

Has Steven Gerrard scored a goal even more important than the one he got against Olympiakos - Is this the start of something BIG?

Really sad but I think it's about right that he's moving on now. Don't think I've ever seen an LFC player work so hard and give absolutely everything all of the time. Glad he won a medal in his final season too, he more than deserved it.

All we have to do replace him with fellow Dutch international Affellay being sold by Barca for a small fee and it will look like great business

Good shout that, wouldnt be a bad replacement at all. Going be interesting to see who Rodgers makes a move for now.

Why are people obsessing over the transfer fee?

How much can Dirk Kuyt actually be worth?

You think that a club would take a 31-32 year old on, with a good contract AND a 5 million pound transfer fee?

He's not a player that owes LFC a fee.

If there's one player that has been worth the fee and wages paid it is Kuyt,

I'm guessing Rodgers couldn't offer him regular games that he wanted ?

In his interview he said he needed a new challenge and that he talked to his Dutch friend Pierre Van Hooijdonk (Also an ex-Fenerbahce player) who highly advised him the move to Fenerbahce. That's all I know for now :)

My favourite Liverpool player in the current squad.

Heart sank when I read the news.  Treated very shabbily by Dalglish last season, which was sad.

Good luck Dirk and thanks for the good memories, top guy, great servant to our club.
If my assistant had not signalled a goal, I would have given a penalty and sent off goalkeeper Patr Cheh. he beeped me to signal the foul. The noise from the crowd  stopped me hearing it, I have been involved at places like Barcelona, Ibrox, Old Trafford, Arsenal, but I've never in my life been involved in such an atmosphere. IT WAS INCREDIBLE

lets go watch Dirk Kuyt and see him scoring, up through the Anfield cheer,
up where the goal is clear, lets go watch Dirk Kuyt!

Loved the bloke, worked his arse off which quite a few fans seem to neglect that fact.

Some very memorable goals - with him on the teamsheet you always knew what you were going to get. Sad to see him leave to be honest.

Actually surprised by how sad I am to see him go. Yeah I know, what has to be has to be.

Nevertheless you'll never find a more humble, hard working, honest player than Dirk.

He joined us when we were a club the whole of Europe trembled before, he scored in a European Cup final for us. He leaves us with one medal, which was too low. There is sadness in this.

Part of the last chapter, onto the new one now, but still, he scored so many vital goals for us.
