I thought the way Brendan made sure the first thing he did was to pay homage to Kenny was itself very classy. I've got such a good feeling about this guy.

Don't half miss Kenny though :(

I'm pretty sure he will be offered a role at the club, maybe as an ambassador, in a few years.

And he'd have every right to tell them to get stuffed, but I doubt he will.

I know mate but the fact of the matter is it was the worst finish in the top flight since we got there. Very bad especially when you consider the money spent etc etc, same old crap. He was the manager at the end of the day and the one who had to take responsibility.

I feel sooooo bad for him though. He must miss it so so much, he loves the club.

Well done and thank you Kenny, class really.

He will be back at the club sooner rather than later - you just know it!

He is too much loved for FSG not to use him in some capacity and Dalglish love the club too much he loves being involved.

Even though I'm sure he was disappointed to be asked to leave and has a legitimate gripe with the owners, he loves the club so much that he'll always want what's best for it. And that means supporting the new manager with whom he has no reason to have a problem. Kenny is class and so it's not surprising that he's come out with this message.

I don't think he has any gripe. He was backed with a long contract and money, but we still went backwards so you can understand the owners decision. Kenny will understand that better than anyone, as like us, he wants the best for the club, hence his tweet for Rodgers.

I agree in principle, however, the owners and current execs aren't Liverpool FC, we are, and Kenny knows it!

Wouldn't expect anything else from Mr Dalglish. Quite simply the greatest!

Mr Rodgers spoke very well and I hope we can all get behind him now as Kenny has and help get our club back where we should be. Not in fourth spot, but challenging for the league title, our bread and butter. It'll take time but I'm impressed with Rodgers' vision.

I'm really glad I got to truly find out what is was that was so special about this man. I only started supporting in 93, so am to young to experience his first spell at the club. You can read all the stories and watch as many old interviews as you like, but I couldn't fully appreciate it until 18 months ago. Strange thing was, the realisation was almost instant at Old Trafford that day. I've never even met Kenny Dalglish, but I feel like I've known him all my life.

The world needs more Kenny Dalglishs, but in a way I'm glad he's was just ours. King.

From seeing his first game in a Red shirt back in 77, to his last game in charge at Swansea, the man has always had the club in his heart. The greatest bar none. His message to our new manger surprises me not one little bit.
Out of all the memories he left me, the one that sticks in my mind above all others was only 18 months ago. Just when i thought id seen it all, when he was re appointed as manager, i had 6 hours notice, i flew into Manchester at 8am the day of the United game to see the second coming. When he walked out a waved and beamed that incredible smile, i deffo had a tear in my eye. Thats what the man means to me.

He doesn't really strike me as a board person - i think he'd get very bored! But maybe he'll come back to his old job at the academy, hanging round with the kids and doing a few ambassador gigs now and then.

As for this thread, not surprised.
