I think that he is aware of the expectations.Kenny initially re-installed the "feel good" factor at Anfield- from the  tea lady to first teamers.Sometimes that isn`t enough;we lacked players who looked at Kenny and thought:I want to be like him,have success like him and if I work hard enough be held like him.Basically, it`s all down to character and I believe Rodgers has it, and is willing to work and learn-you cannot ask more than that.

The Euros could prove useful for BRas he gets an early gander at our players.

Sounds good. This just continues his streak of always saying the right thing in the right way, without sounding like he tries too hard to say what's right. And this is not at all a criticism, as I really like his manners, but I do think it will give some people quite high expectations about what he can achieve in the short term. I also see the discussion here going about the position bringing with it expectations, and I'm not even gonna go into who's act he's is gonna try to follow. Point being, I hope his ability to face bad times is good, and that he's tough enough to deal with such things, even tho he's lacking experience on the top level. Because the bad times will come, in one form or another; they always do at some point. We need to show from day one that we're behind him then, and hopefully he'll still be able to show this humble confidence when things aren't going his way.

out if interest, I think it's generally considered as a bit of a coup when Benitez was lured to Anfield, who had a say in that appointment? Was it Parry? Obviously rumours of him being one of the advisers for FSG, could he have pulled it off again with BR?

Just a thought....don't know if it has been mentioned in other threads, be interesting to know the answer.. :)
