I have the full game now, was given a promo copy last night.
Can confirm: there is no league mode option at all and the only licensed team in the Premier
League is Manchester United. The former is madness for a football game and latter is also baffling as
Konami were meant to have two slots for EPL teams. Option files will sort that out.
To be honest I have only played one game, which was Merseyside Red versus Athens. I had a lot of possession in midfield and despite some lovely touches from Suarez up front, possession didn't lead to a lot of clear cut chances. Wow, realism! Sahin was probably my best player but the movement in front of him was not the best. Gerrard was awful on right wing, kept wandering back to midfield. Again, realism?
Just like demo 2, the game shows a lot of promise. You can pass the ball around and the first touch
you take is really important. Your AI controlled team mates will make good runs for you (well not so much with Liverpool but..) and defending is logical and fun.
Looks a good game to me, but my problem is I don't have a lot of time to set up and playMaster League at home, or to mess around buying silly boots. The removal of a league mode is such a stupid decision that it looks it must have done because of legal problems; they have all the teams in Spanish top league and many of the stadiums but I cannot play a season of that league in game?
Anyway, the actual game on the pitch is very very good, so it will be worth playing Champions League and with mates. Liverpool will need at least three players and some stat boosting though
