Just because we want to speak to him doesn't mean he's first choice. It's always good interviewing several people and drawing a conclusion from there.

Just the fact we are fucking interviewing the bloke is enough for me.

Encouraged by the fact that he isn't the only one going to be approached, but can't stop think that as he is first name to be spoken of that he may be their favourite choice

If we're going for a youngster, then he's my choice.  His name ends in EZ.  The last manager we had with that scooped the big one for us.  ;D

I too hope everyone gets behind him - if it is him.  May turn out to be a genius.  May turn out to be a Hodgson.  Nobody knows.

Hodgson-esque appointment if true. Massive, MASSIVE step backwards.
not really

martinez is a young manager/coach that likes to play passing football, tries it with wigan with what are nothing but average players, even while they struggle against relegation every season he does not change his style.

He deserves our support if appointed.

so on the one hand we have 'the club is bigger than one man' and on the other we have 'he deserves our support id appointed' regardless of whether he is the right man for the job or not?

Think not.

This is true.

Just because I quote amir, doesn't actually mean I like the little Aguero failing, sucking, little shit.

It's just courteous to do these things and leave all options open.

The real question is who is doing the interview?

FSG?  Ayres?  Purslow?

Do any of them even know what they should be asking for, in an interview?

Even interviewing him sends out a bad vibe. If they are looking for people of this calibre I fear for the future.

I'm sorry but Kenny deserves our respect, and none was shown to him by our owners. Martinez if appointed therefore deserves no respect from us.

Fuck this, we can't replace King Kenny with Roberto Martinez.

Just think about that, replacing our biggest living legend, with someone whose never managed or played for anyone bigger than Wigan.

Shankly? Shite appointment, never played or managed anywhere higher than Huddersfield..

Paisley, Dalglish? Shite appointments, they have NO experience in management whatsoever.

Exactly, there needs to be a proper thorough interview process.

Said the same thing the other day. If they were going to sack Kenny, they needed to do it properly and interview a wide-range of candidates. We can't afford a repeat of the Hodgson appointment

I was just about to write sth similar to this. IMO it is obvious that we'll be interviewing several people for the post, yet people on here are already having a go.
