Capello is a top manager with very good win % where ever he goes, his England record was a good one too, i would be quite happy with him being sounded out its a massive step up from RobertO

Capello wins titles by spending huge amounts of money, he also tends to use experienced players who have done it and isn't known for using younger players which will have to be a big part of our strategy, I'm not convinced he fits the brief

Tony Evans seems to have gone off the deep. Twitter not that conductive to explaining his thought process, so he just appears to be having a gradual melt down.

Wait, why isn't Frank de Boer on the poll? Have you seen the odds lately!? He's jumped through the roof, wasn't even in top 20 a few hours ago now he's only just behind Rafa.

Don't pay much attention to odds. There was a story this morning in the Irish Independent which claimed he had been approached and was interested, and that would have led to quite a few bets being put on. Hence why they've shortened so much. Hopefully there was truth to the article, but nothing concrete yet.

The De Boer story started in the S*N, I wouldn't really take much into it unless something happens out of it. As of right now, I think (wish) it is Luís André de Pina Cabral e Villas-Boas as Rafa seems to be an after thought.

But surely there's a reason his odds have dropped so dramatically in just a few hours. A few hours ago he wasn't even in the top 20, now he's 2nd favourite.

You do realize how the odds work right? One big bet from someone who thinks he has a shot can make him jump massively.

2 years ago they suspended betting on Ribery coming to Liverpool. Tell me how has he been doing?

Except they haven't suspended betting and he isn't even the favourite, Luís André de Pina Cabral e Villas-Boas still is. I'm just saying it's weird how he's jumped so much so quickly. Just saying don't be surprised if he is the man, they will be appointing someone in the next few days.

And I'm not saying he hasn't got a shot at the job but using odds as an indicator is pointless, bookies are just covering their backs.

This is where the link to Frank De Boer started https://news.google.co.uk/news/story?ncl=dBa1N91P5h5icOMPWL3_Gyv1c5z_M&ned=uk

And Cruyff won't be appointed as a DOF, if we really appoint FdB then it is Van Gaal who we are appointing as DOF.

Why is it so hard to believe that Luís André de Pina Cabral e Villas-Boas might indeed be a grade a prick? Id say it's fairly plausible.

The more I think on him the more I'd not bother. He'd cost too much and would want too long a contract for someone who still represents a massive gamble. Fuck that.

What does it matter what kind of person he is? Mourinho is a less-than-agreeable character at the best of times but many would have him here in a heartbeat (although on that same token many wouldn't). Suarez to many fans is a detestable character to most fans in the UK but he's our detestable character and we love him for it.

As long as it's not a disruptive influence then I'm not really that bothered about his 'character' - which incidentally seems to come from Chelsea FC; wouldn't believe anything that came from that place myself. Never mind it coming from the 'decent people doing low-end jobs' which makes Evans sound like a wannabe working class hero. Their info is neither more nor less reliable than the info of people coming from those higher in the club.

It's plausible that he'd be a 'grade A prick', yes, but I'd take that with a nice big serving of salt.

I think I'd rather Frank De Boer than Luís André de Pina Cabral e Villas-Boas. Maybe not quite the expereince we'd have liked but he's played at the highest level & managed two titles in two seasons for Ajax.

Having Borrell, Seguera & De Boer is a pretty attractive proposition for young aspiring footballers with world class talent. He'd have confidence that he'd develop under their tutelage and if he displayed talent I reckon he'd feel more confident of getting a chance than under most other managers.

but whats more of a joke the Dutch league or the Portuguese league... Luís André de Pina Cabral e Villas-Boas has done more in my eyes, a perfect season for Porto with the Europa league is greater than 2 dutch titles.
De Boar didnt do much in the Champions League two 0-0's with Lyon, two wins against Zagreb. He has less experience than Luís André de Pina Cabral e Villas-Boas despite being quite a bit older. Luís André de Pina Cabral e Villas-Boas has experience in the premier league now also, it may not have been the best experience but Luís André de Pina Cabral e Villas-Boas had never had to deal with failure before Chelsea and i feel i would have learnt a lot from that. People complain about Martinez having no experience he has more than De Boar.
