I'm not a lover of Rafa but I respect what he did at the club. I think he's had his time and the club's in the process of moving on, let's not go back.

Would you rather Martinez? Honestly, even people who don't want Rafa would surely rather him than the likes of Martinez or Rodgers?

I know it's not simply Rafa or Martinez, but wouldn't you settle for Rafa?

Fact is the second we have even a small dip in form the chants for Rafa will get louder and louder.

The fans will make the owners know that they made a mistake hiring the quality of manager like Martinez.

I don't want Rafa back and I am a real Liverpool fan who goes the game regularly, went to Wembley three times and followed to away games.

Not that makes me more of a fan than anyone, but still.

I don't Rafa back either although i love him for the work he did.

It will be exactly how it was when Hodgson was in charge. Rafa in the background casting a shadow over every poor result just like Kenny was.

Can't agree.
The fans called for Dalglish and he didn't work out. The owners must have known the furore that would follow saking Kenny, so if there ends up being a massive campaign for Rafa, I can see FSG avoiding what they will see as a potential landmine.

At the same time, there were fans who wanted Torres back. Lady boy is the one who left us when we needed him. Opposite to him is Rafa, he fought for us and was thrown out by the cancers. He still want to come to us. That is a win-win situation mate. It is not the time to look at the past on how he was treated. It is about how he should be treated

Torres abandoned us for those plastic pricks dahn sarf. Rafa fought for us, for the fans. He knew what the score was with the yanks, he warned us. The phone-in whoppers and those who booed when we went top stabbed him in the back, starting a swell allowing the cock purslow to apply the coup de grace when we had a crappy season of asset stripping. One of the worst times in our history. Now it can be put right, let him have another chance.

But if he does come back what if it goes wrong we will be in the same place next summer...

It will be the same story if another manager gets it wrong though. That youtube clip gave me goosebumps

"My coach told me to warm up just before the break. He told me I was going to take care of Kaka. I didn't think it was possible to turn things around but in the dressing room at halftime Rafa Benitez was calm - "We are Liverpool FC, we have so many fans, we are not going to be slaughtered. Just wish Rafa would come out and force the issue a bit and just say "I want the job". If he did the owners would have to listen to him and us. I know he said he'd wait 10 years, but he needs to come out now. Others managers do it when jobs are available.  Although maybe that's just Rafa, he probably has to much class to come out and tout himslef for the job.

Strange that people would take Rodgers over Martinez. Swansea owe a massive part of their football philosophy to Martinez.
