Linked by? ...
It could be a good move, just thinking it is someone guessing and we will see more of those links of our your players going on loan there.

I can't see Swansea looking to take any of our youngsters on loan to be honest. Think they will be wary of 'second season syndrome' and won't take the risk.

I understand what you're saying but how much is it down to the fact that unlike xavi and inniesta, gerrard wasn't/isn't surrounded by the quality of players barca often do. maybe 2 or 3 simple passes and a simple through ball is enough for a player like messi or a villa to finish it off. gerrard often tries to find the perfect killer pass so it makes the striker's job easier. same case in midfield too. just imagine a gerrard in a barca or a madrid midfield, he would be a lot different and to be honest he wouldn't be as good coz he does not need to be in those teams.
what i'm getting at is that steven gerrard is steven gerrard because the things he does on a football field are audacious and come through more often than not. I admit the few occasions they dont, it looks a little silly but that's just part of the player he is and most of the fans now dont realize that.

Thank you for saving me typing this :)

What risk is it in taking a Shelvey or Sterling on loan?
Talented youngsters who should fit into the system they play. If they don't work out then don't play them and we can recall them. Surely the way around 2nd season is to have other options than you did the first year, to not have to keep picking a player if he underperforms compared to last season.

Doumbia scores goals for fun.

Good. I'd hate it if we signed a striker who scored goals for some masochistic reason

£ or €? £15M would be insane and even if it was Euros, it wouldn't be much better. I wouldn't want us to spend big on a striker, rather have someone like Borini and use more money on a winger.
pounds I assumed they were quoting but said a club, newcastle I think  only offered 8, don't.think they would offer 8 mil euros although they seem to think that they can get debauchy?( French lad) for 4mil, no chance

Fucking best news we've had recently. I don't know if it's just me but I feel that skrtel is the easier replaceable of the two. Dagger is special because of how comfortable and talented he is on the ball, which makes him one of the best in the world for my money. Obviously I don't want Skrtel to leave because he's one of the best in the league, but if I had to choose between the two it would be him. Skrtel is excellent but I honestly think Agger is genuinely world class.

I know you're with me on this when I say that I'd love us to sign Subotic in the hypothetical situation Skrtel was sold. Kid's got super talent on the ball and would compliment Agger perfectly in the same manner he does with Hummels (who I'd want if we lost Agger). Now whether they are for sale or even want to come is up for debate.

Sigurdsson behind Carroll and Gerrard on the right, then, I guess we solve a lot of problems in offense.
Please captain, please don't mind to play on the right.

We'd have basically no pace in our attack then though, provided Suarez played from the left.

Gerrards crosses from the right seem to be most effective when they are coming from deep (ie Andys goal v Sweden). Playing 4-3-3 we could have Stevie behind Suarez and Siggy behind Bellers/Maxi/New Left Forward. With Lucas DM and Andy CF.
Ferguson has probably told Moyes that he will be his recommendation to take over.

I think FSG's money-ball strategy will be in full effect this transfer window young players with yet un-tapped potential and excellent re-sale value. There will be no marquee signings for large fee's IMHO. I don't think we will bring in any player with a cost of over eighteen million.

Where have the Doumbia links come from? The only ones I can see have 2 rumours on it, one of Doumbia to us and another of Zabaleta to Barcelona so that's full of shite.

As long as we bring in players who are better than what we have, we should be OK. Would be worried if we went for players who will be great some time in the future. We have fallen quite far in the last three years and we need to start climbing back to the top. For that we need players who can contribute here and now.

Apperantly Mattias Suarez from Anderlecht has told an Argentine Radio Station he wants to leave and go to a bigger club. We where strongly linked at the end of last season, don't know if we would still be interested. Jovanivic was supposedly telling him stay well clear of us, the tosser.
His goalscoring record is pretty good, never seen him play and it's hardly a top league.

Very loose rumours from ‘quality’ outlets like the Mirror, Talksport, Caughtoffside and The Kenyan Daily Post of an interest in Benedikt Howedes from Schalke.

Great young player, but we don't need him right now.

Will that be a good summer or a bad one?

100% agree mate. I absolutely love Subotic and think he'll be one of, if not the best centre half in the world in the near future. In fact, if Dortmund keep those two together, I can see them winning the Champions League in the not too distant future. So if Skrtel did leave, I'd break the bank for him.

Would be an awesome signing but hard to imagine it at the minute.

I would be tempted if the deal was reasonable. Say 6m tops. I think he's decent, yet nothing greatly special. He can't beat a man and has a good shot, but I think hes greedy and his final ball isn't the best, but, he's 21 and could be worth a punt. Is he ex-palace?

Not for anything over £5m.

Useful player but it's difficult to see him progressing into a better player, could change at a big club though.

I was talking to John Chapman on twitter who knows his stuff about Belgian Football. I asked him about Suarez and he said that his best position is just off the main striker, he probably wouldn't get a work permit, and he also doubted if he was good enough for Liverpool.

The tabloid 'parting the Red Sea' stuff alone means I say no. Also the fact I don't think he would be able to make the step up to having to produce every game, rather than at Wigan where a good performance once a month can make him a worthwhile player.
