15M bid to city for Johnson according to @Agent007ITK

That account is not the most reliable when the submitter cannot remember what they tweeted.

Don't get excited about Jovetic. Apart from a crappy Goal.com article and people in this thread jizzing all over their phone/tablet/keyboard/screen/budgie/nan there's been nothing from a credible source. Unless I missed it.

There hasn't. And there hasn't been any credible source linking us to Tello either.

Under Kenny we had a list of targets that are now most likely different to what Rodgers wants. The old list may have had the likes of Luuk De Jong, Behlanda Ramirez, and Diame on it, and all of them are probably not on the new list under Rodgers. Obviously we know about Sigurdsson, but no one knows who else is under consideration on the new list. Jenkins is about as reliable as we can get right now, and he denied the Adam Johnson rumours earlier.

Depends on who we are dealing with it.
Talk about contradiction, surely it also depends on who is buying from us. That said I seriously doubt MOST transfers are done like that except when a team is eager to get rid of a player

There was some talk that he was gonna leave, can't remember if it was loan or permanent, under Kenny.

Duncan Jenkins mentioned they were considering it.

There were rumours a couple months back that they were considering sending Seba out on loan next season.

I think he's one of the most complete strikers in the league. His only problem is his stupidity (as with Gerrard).

You set yourself up in opposition to Rafael Benitez then. This is column today - the ability to do something with the ball quickly is also known as game intelligence.

'A little talk on Gerrard, here, perhaps, because it has been good to see him making such a difference even from the deeper role he has been assigned by Hodgson. It was not just the accuracy of the cross to Andy Carroll which was important for England's first goal against Sweden but his ability to give it just the right pace. The difference between quality players and the rest is their ability not only to do something with the ball but to do it very quickly. Even at the level we are now watching, a player can maybe see a pass but not play it more than 30 metres. Steven can make a 40-metre pass, with accuracy and the right pace. He can see the necessary pass and make it at the same time. That is quality'

That would be a smart move.  I wouldn't mind keeping that sort of relationship with them if they stick with their philosophy.

Does comments are really nothing to go by given the history with his agent

Or the history of the club's actions.
"My coach told me to warm up just before the break. He told me I was going to take care of Kaka. I didn't think it was possible to turn things around but in the dressing room at halftime Rafa Benitez was calm - "We are Liverpool FC, we have so many fans, we are not going to be slaughtered. If we can score a goal quickly we push on from there.""

Gerrard is a great player at doing what other's cant.  The only problem is he tries to do the spectacular too often.  I hope Rodgers can get him to keep it simple.  If you look at Spain or Barca or even Swansea, they rearly make individual spectacular passes (Fabregas's one last night aside!).  The likes a Xavi and Inesta make simple 15 yard passes over and over again.  They keep the ball moving and the opposition defenders moving about all over the place.  I hope Gerrard can adapt to this kind of role.  If Gerrard could be disciplined enough to stay in position he might extend his career by becoming a more defensive midfielder in the Xavi position.

Ramirez, Mata and Marin will all probably occupy the AM roles leaving Hazard, Hulk and Moses for the wings.

Loaning Coates would be ridiculous. The guy should be our 3rd choice next season, and with so many games to play next year he'll get plenty of game time (Hopefully alongside Kelly at CB in the Europa League).

That's not right. Rafa thought Gerrard was stupid. That's why he never played Gerrard in the middle. ... except when he did.

Saachi doesn't like him either.

Recently the majority of Ghana's U17 squad have had an MRI bone scan and they found most are over the actual age of 17. You can never actually tell what age these African players are. Kanu is not 35 still. Plus I don't want Doumbia.

I understand what you're saying but how much is it down to the fact that unlike xavi and inniesta, gerrard wasn't/isn't surrounded by the quality of players barca often do. maybe 2 or 3 simple passes and a simple through ball is enough for a player like messi or a villa to finish it off. gerrard often tries to find the perfect killer pass so it makes the striker's job easier. same case in midfield too. just imagine a gerrard in a barca or a madrid midfield, he would be a lot different and to be honest he wouldn't be as good coz he does not need to be in those teams.
what i'm getting at is that steven gerrard is steven gerrard because the things he does on a football field are audacious and come through more often than not. I admit the few occasions they dont, it looks a little silly but that's just part of the player he is and most of the fans now dont realize that.

Both Doumbia and Borini would be fantastic signings.

Having striking options of Carroll, Suarez, Doumbia and Borini to choose from would be a massive improvement on what we had last season, and would also make a lot of sense given that we have Europe to contend with this year.

Doumbia is definitely older than he claims.  ;D Watch his legs give way when he hits '28.' Where are these Caulker links coming from? I saw him quite a lot last season and whilst I don't think he's a poor player, I can't really see why we're being linked? Didn't stand out. I know he'd be cover for Agger or whatever, but Coates is a better player and a similar age. I wouldn't be averse to Caulker if Carra was going. He's still Spurs though.

We need to buy a defensive midfielder as cover for Lucas. That has to be a priority. We can't go in to another season without at least another quality DM, especially since Lucas will just be returning from a long term injury.
