We should get Dzagoev.

It's not as though he was an unknown quantity coming into the tournament. If we'd have wanted him I imagine fsg would've tried to do the deal knowing he would do well.

I think he's going to be one of these who has a good tournament then gets lost in the expectation. He's had 2 good games against a very poor Czech team and now the poles (the lowest ranked team in the tournament?)

His name is class tho

His contract runs out December 31st.

This I did not know. He's going to the highest bidder 1st jan then?

What is the wages/tax situation like I'm Russia? I know there's money there but what's it like in footballing terms?

Any good? Not an ITK but I do know we are keen on him ; )

No idea never seen him. Not sure why we would need him unless we get rid of Carragher completely which is very unlikely.

Victor Vicosa plays as a centre forward for Griemo and we are have some interest, lets say in some ways he will be replacing Dirk.

His hair and ears are similar. Lets get him.
If he was Dudek would've saved it...and there would be no film.

Think so well if you google him theres some pics in Griemo kits! Just a rumour off a mate who's an editor of a rumour site, sorry I didn't want to get anyones hopes upjust thought his appearance was quite startling.

What appearance was that then? Because If this guy is Dirk's natural successor then we need to check him out NOW.

Still. Not much chance of us signing him if he continues to play well at this tornament is there?

Never buy a player based on 1 tournament, we've learnt our lesson with the Diouf and Diao.  Although yes he has looked good, then again the whole Russian team is playing well.  Lets see how he performs against some decent opposition.

Dzagoev will have a lot of hype around him but i haven't really been impressed with his all round game.

Then what, buy him on the basis of one tournament as long as it's decent opposition?

He's been doing it for a while now. There won't be any clubs that weren't aware of him long ago. All he's doing now is fulfilling the potential it was obvious he had when he first nailed down a starting spot for CSKA.

Hmm maybe so.   Everytime I have seen him he's been decent or good, this tournament will be telling like you say.

poborsky and Arse-Shaving are other examples. It is the main problem with the Euro's and the World Cup. One player is on a roll and everyone wants him for the inflated price.

Well Sinclair only scored 8 in that wide forward role and he took penalties. Dyer scored 5.

I think we are hoping for a slightly better season than Swansea had last year though.

Dzagoev's been on the verge of a move to a top European league for years now. He hasnt just appeared out of thin air. But it's not cheap to get players out of Russia. Especially those as 'hyped' as Dzagoev.

With his contract running down and him looking decent in this tournament though now's the perfect time.

Cant say I watch any Russian league matches so I cant speak of his quality, but he's long been mooted as a big talent. Not signing someone because they do well is a bit backwards no?

People keep using them as an example but they were signed before the world cup.

At the time, the club were even crowing about how they had been snapped up before their prices went through the roof.

He'll want mega wages that we can't afford due to Taxes. That's why Arse shavin has been a prick for Arsenal and wants to leave. He'll probably go to Chelsea and FM Abramavich will want his compatriot

I honestly debated not even putting in the thing about height, but I was trying to list disadvantages to playing Lucas in that position in a Rodgers setup.

Honestly I think height is overrated as a factor in winning headers, particularly in midfield.  It's much more about positioning, and Lucas is brilliant at it.  I'd guess that his percentage of headed challenges won is as good or better than Fellaini or someone like that.  It's just that this country has sort of a mental block when it comes to a shorter player at centre back and so somewhere in the back of my mind is this idea that if he's to drop back into the centre of a 3-5-2, he needs a couple of inches.  Giving it some consideration, I think that's totally wrong.
Haha yeah, you try to post a balanced argument by including possible weaknesses but Lucas doesn't give you much to work with! ;D
We'll be selling Henderson within 3 years and not for a profit, I guarantee it. Bookmark this post, I won't be eating my words.

And where did Swansea finish in the table? are you suggesting there is no difference between the expectations set for a Swansea player in a forward position compared to a team that wants to be competing?
