Not too sure to be honest mate, this chelsea thing was the first i'd seen of his name in this window so far and its apparently been rejected.

I can't see him leaving in this window but i thought Alonso would stay with us when he left so im not the best at predicting transfer outcomes haha

Chelsea seem like they really mean business though. They're moving for some massive names and whats more they're young players aswell. Will be interesting who they give the managers job to, whoever it ends up being could have a lot of money to spend on the back of the inevitable exits

I've been worrying for a few weeks now about the summer window but the whole Kenny things just made it 100x worse. Teams are moving for big names and we have multiple positions to fill higher up before we can even think about bringing in players

Silva and Modric and their starting 11 is pretty much complete. Sure they'll buy another explosive attacker as well.

Just seen on Guardado's wiki page that the 2011-12 season will be his last with Deportivo. Havn't seen him at all but I've heard a few people rave about him.

Kompany and Pique are the best in the world, Silva isn't close. I'd say Chiellini is better than Silva.

He's not overrated in the slightest. For me he's the best CB in the world with Kompany a close second.

The fact we have alot more revenue coming in now aswell, really should help us spend more. The owners have spent a NET of 30M over three Transfer windows. 10M net per window is piss poor to be honest with you.

Atleast 40M net has to be spent this summer. We could raise up to 30M in sales IMO, so 70M gross should be able to get us some good players.
Huntelaar 20M, Belhanda 15M, Moutinho 25M and we would be in a very good position, then bring in a Diame and a Rodellega on a free as squad depth.

The problem to the owners is the salary.
Seems to me they always have that concern in mind.

We've had a couple shouts on here for Bruno who wouldn't be a bad pickup at all. I also really like Rossi, but his second injury ruled him out of going anywhere.

Yes but they didnt net 150M simply because they won it. If they had gone out in the semi final, they wouldnt have made much less. The way he phrases it made it sound like they made 150M simply from winning it

A net investment this summer of 25m isnt going to get us top 4, which means they will have to invest another 20M next season, and then again after that, hoping eventually the small investment builds up.

They should just say, heres 60M net, get us world class players than will guarantee us top 4, which will then get us 40M-50 back next season from simply being in the CL. If they just showed some nerve, and then the manager got us into the CL one season, that 60M net spend would pretty much be covered from simply getting into the CL, and would then mean the team would be in a good position to invest again.

Won't get my hopes up though seeing as over three transfer windows the investment is 30M net.

You, I nor anyone else knows what their intentions are going to be with a manager/structure they want to have set up.

They never said they're going to use their own money to invest in the club as far as transfers go, that it'd have to be self sufficient on it's own funds, you crying that they've only put so much of their own money in is rather dumb considering they never promised that from the get go.
