Mates, I'm completely torn...I'm about to preorder my new kit.  I have 5 other kits from the past...and all with names and numbers.  Maybe some help or thoughts...

Carroll 9 (for the future)

Gerrard 8 (for everything he's ever done)

NOTE: I used to have a Gerrard, but I out grew it.  I gave it my girlfriend's little brother a few years ago...

Right now I have a Suarez, Jose Enrique, Lucas, Skrtel, and my old Torres kit from 08...

I really wanted to get Gerrard on the back. I felt this jersey just would suit no name better, and settled to go with Gerrard on the new away kit when it comes out. (assuming its of the same quality.)

I think since they moved the 96 to the back along the shoulders/collar, to me that says let us carry that weight with you.  To me it speaks volumes, as if the team is trying to help shoulder that burden for the families.  I think it is quite beautiful...

Get a red shirt with Reina 25 on the back.

That should fuck with a few people's minds.  ;)

btw..for those who wash this.

Turn it inside out and wash in cold water the first time. The color won't run.

Hang to dry instead of using a dryer and it won't shrink.

You're good to go after that.

Fit into a small Adidas kit, but ordered a medium of the new kit. I'd imagine the small would be too small. I presume there would be no problem swapping it at a club store after release? Not sure what would happen with the free t-shirt though?

keep it simple, and they did. Love that the "old bird" is back, like the colors but i do not like the collar.... not going to buy it...hoping for a smashing black away , with a round nck.... any how, loads better than any of the adidas home stof, we have seen the last 6 seasons.. a bit like the last reebok one, a lot af red and hardly any contrast...

Haha, thanks  ;D

I read an article about how some families were upset, and I just wish that someone could say that to them.  I think all of us would be honored to help bear that weight on our shoulders.  That's what it means to me...and I hope that can catch on with the new kit.  Never forgotten...YNWA  :)

Should turn it inside out and avoid the transfers when ironing?  ::)

Can't wait to get one when they go out on general sale. Think Carroll 9 will go on the back of the home kit for me. Will fit in well with all the other Liverpool shirts I have.

Waiting until they go out on general sales but more importantly how this summer shapes up, hopefully we'll bring someone exciting in and i'll probably get him on the back. However this hasn't worked well in the past... Cisse, Gonzalez, Pennant, Morientes, Torres..

That is what I ended up getting...I'll get an old classic for Gerrard to replace the one I out grew.  Oddly enough, the new kit ran me exactly $100 USD.

I'm a big fan of Adidas so I was really pessimistic about the new shirt. I think the colour, the logos (Liverbird & 96) and the yellow contrast colour are very elegant. Unfortunately I have to say I really don't like the collar. The shirt would be one of our best with a v or even a round neck, but even though I love a great polo shirt I don't think it's a look for a football shirt, and it ruin the shirt from my point of view. The shirt have some great details and Warrior have done a good job, but the collar ruins it, and it will be the first home shirt in many years I don't buy. It's not ugly but it's not great either, but it could have been the real deal without the collar.

They could easily have gone with the look from the bonus t-shirt. That would have been a great shirt, but with the new deal we would get a new shirt every season, so I have to wait to next season, where I hope we can get rid of the stupid collar. Aside from the collar the shirt looks good, and it could have been a lot worse.

Welcome Warrior.
Don't really buy kits but it's nice and much better then the current one, special and elegant.

The colour isn't the dark red as appears on the players in the studio shots. Neil Mellor and Ian St John were wearing them on LFCTV earlier and it was clearly the traditional bright red, not dark.

Thank fuck as well cos the dark images make it almost look like AS Roma shirts. For a second I thought Suarez had signed for them  :o

I'm not a fan of round neck football shirts at all - makes them look like a cheap t-shirt, in my opinion.  V-neck or collar any day.

I fucking love this new home kit.
