From looking at the other things in those pictures we get a good idea of its true colour.

It's obviously closer to the brighter red from the product shots in real life, though it's probably slightly darker.  It's not going to be as dark as it looks in those special shots; just look at the players' faces, which are obviously darker than they would be in real life.  Ergo, there's a filter on the picture that's making it look darker.  The video gives the best lighting to determine the real colour, would be my guess: in between the two, but closer to the brighter red colour.  Pretty much as red as you can get, which is fine by me.

Reminds me of the approach made when designing the England national shirt, keeping it simple and classy without all the fussy stripes and needless markings.

NOT what I expected when I heard that a brand called Warrior were designing it!  Really was expecting tribal watermarks in the red!!!

Thankkfully they've done a great job.

Even the video has a very obvious filter on it.

Why are they altering the contrast and colour levels so dramatically on the videos and pictures? I'm guessing it's ended up too bright/red and they're not as happy with it as it would appear.

The product photos look too red, but the photos with the players modelling the kit looks about right. Not sure why'd they present it in two vastly different contrasts... what are we getting?

Yes. Didn't see your post. That's what I was trying to say too. Except I think the brighter product photos are more "authentic traditional Liverpool' than the darker, foreboding pictures of the players wearing them.

Either way, they are completely different shades of red. Odd.

Sorry to sound all arty ... but the red WILL appear to look more orange and warm and that's because all the motifs and lettering are yellow.  It's a slight trick of the eye.

Oh, and I'll say it now ..... the blue Prem badges that they'll wear on the side will totally ruin the effect.

All 3 primary colours in one place should NEVER be seen!

Like I said ... sorry to be arty but I am a graphic designer.

Very nice, will entice a few who don't usually buy replicas to wear as a normal polo shirt I imagine. Only complaint is the height of standard chartered on the torso.

Warrior have done a great job. I think they've researched and applied our history well.  All red kit. Ron Yates "7ft Tall" sprung to my mind when I saw the adverts.

Highlight so far is the return to a traditional old skool green for the keeper too.

Love it.

The background's are different though.

Against white it shows as very bright red, but against the black it becomes more blood red. Its a lovely strip whichever way you look at it and the badge is perfect.

That's just contrast set in the lighting. The one with Suarez will be closer to what the kit is actually like, only the picture has obviously had its values altered to give it a dramatic effect so it's a little darker. The production picture looks too blown out because it's had lights pointed directly at it plus the camera's flash makes it look really brighter than what it is. Look at Carroll at the start of that video. He's standing in a natural light. You can see it's darker than the production picture, but yet not as dark as the Suarez image.

Oh, come on! You really think the background is causing all that difference?

wow- that is about as good as it gets - I'm a 33 year old who gave up kits a long time ago but I'm off to order one with Dalglish 7 on the back
If my assistant had not signalled a goal, I would have given a penalty and sent off goalkeeper Patr Cheh. he beeped me to signal the foul. The noise from the crowd  stopped me hearing it, I have been involved at places like Barcelona, Ibrox, Old Trafford, Arsenal, but I've never in my life been involved in such an atmosphere. IT WAS INCREDIBLE

true, it feels we are not in the same pit with Chelsea for example...

personally, even beyond the prominence the 96 and the flames will receive on slow motion replay/close up photography work around goal celebrations, i really like the symbolism of the 96 on the back.

they are out of sight, but never far from our minds.  they spur the players on, and they share in every celebration, every pat on the back, every embrace the players and fans share.

i think it's rather lovely :)

Suits and ties.

Then when we play Swansea City change into the Adidas strip. :P

These can not be sold in stores until the Adidas contract runs out the end of this month ( and why they claim for June 1st delivery for pre-orders). So we CAN'T  wear them Sunday either.

Red is the new red, so it seems.

Wouldn't mind  a slight bit of white trim on a flat collar mind you. But as many say, the best kit we've had in ages. Even if it is too red. ;D

Any information on the away kit?  Hopefully yellow or silver

Just a warning to anyone about to post the mockup that AlexanderKruseBerg did, Nocturnalvin's made it clear that the away strip is wrong.

The mock-ups were done according to his inside info and the home shirt was as good as spot on - and the 3rd strip is close-ish apparently (it's purple with a 'tribal' pattern on the sleeves) - but he was clear that the away was wrong and asked people not to keep bumping/reposting the mockups.

I do believe that the basic colour is black or grey though.

I gathered all info I could find here: http://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=237505.msg10223013#msg10223013

Anyway, I think we should have another thread for speculation about the away and third kits, though. Because it will just clog up this one if not.

I hope we start using the Liverbird instead of the badge in everything and not just for the kit

Not a fan of collars but for some reason I think the collar actually compliments the shirt.

I think Warrior can give themselves a gigantic pat on the back for this kit as I really can't think of anything that would make it better looking.
I am very surprised at how high I actually rate this shirt so well done Warrior, I'm impressed.

By the way, unlike PhiLFC#1 (and I'm sure many others), I prefer this bright one to the darker pictures. It's closer to our red shirts all down the years.
