Never buy the shorts or socks anyways so doesn't matter to me.

Maybe they think it'll help the players performance by giving them a bit of draft for the ol' cock and bollocks?

i know people are worried about the 'knock offs'

obviously warrior want to sell as many kits as they can, but with every fake kits being sold their logo will still be on it. for a company not known world wide that's massive.
I think I may be turning gay. That back heel & through ball to Enrique made me jizz like Ive never jizzed before. My fiancee has got some serious work to do if she wants to get me as excited as I do about Coutinho.

Didn't know what size to order as I am a 40" chest. Says on the size guide 38-40 is Medium and 41-44 is Large. Not knowing how slim Warrior gear fits, I didn't want to take the risk and ordered a Large. Hope it's not mega baggy though.

I'm really tempted to order one but I'm 6 foot tall and about 38" chest so not sure to go with a L or M. I usually went with Adidas large as the medium was shorter, but it flapped somthing chronic. Prob will wait till 1 June and grab one in the shop. It looks mint though. Love it. Best shirt in years.

Missing the point by a country mile. We were discussing the strength of Adidas' sales and distribution network and the easy access to their merchandise. Lets face it, you will find an Adidas' store almost anywhere in the world. And you might have access to a store or buy it online or something but many cannot/will not.

I was not referring to any 'loyalty' towards Adidas or something.

Sorry. Misunderstood the discussion.

But I think even with warrior, you can buy it in sports shop nationwide.

I doubt you'd see any Warrior stores as you would an Adidas store.  After all, Warrior is a subsidiary of New Balance.  However, there is no debating the global empire of Adidas, but I don't think for a single moment that all of these things were not considered when we accepted the Warrior kit deal.

If anyone's in Town (Liverpool) they had it on display at the Liverpool 1 store today.

I've heard Williamson Sq have it too.

For those discussing Adidas and our stuff being available in their company stores...come to the USA. I can take you to 50 different Adidas stores and you'd be hard pressed to find our stuff. I've bought Adidas trainers, tops, socks, etc since they became our kit supplier. Been in 50 or more stores nationwide at times over the years. Only once did I see an LFC branded item which was a discontinued jacket.

Yep - they did it 2 years ago after unveiling the current home kit. They had it on a dummy in the shop in L1 after the big unveil.

Amen to that...Adidas and Puma are both German, are they not?  Anyhow, he's right.  I've never been to an Adidas outlet or store in the USA that had any Liverpool apparel whatsoever.  All 5 of my LFC kits were purchased directly from the LFC store with all holograms registered, too.   8)

Personally, I think sales will see a definite increase in North America alone.  Out of curiosity, how popular is New Balance in the UK?  What about in Europe?  Any estimations or insight would be appreciated.

If LFC stuff was stocked locally in sportswear stores as well as Adidas/NB/Warrior stores I personally would never buy from the Adidas/NB/Warrior standalone retail stores regardless because I wouldn't expect to see good deals on merchandise there.  I pretty much expect to see full price, and I almost never pay full price for anything.  As it happens, local sportswear stores don't carry LFC stuff, and there actually aren't any Adidas stores around here anyway, so I have to order from .tv where I end up paying quite a bit anyway even during the 20% off weekends due to shipping costs, and the GBP having a higher value than the dollar.  If LFC could get a north american distribution warehouse or something that would help us out a lot...

Finally someone points it out. I've only ever seen one of our tops once in an Adidas store (in Chicago) and that was the current one. It's much easier to find a Milan or Real Madrid top in one of their stores than ours. I've seen more of our shirts in run of the mill sports stores in various parts of North America than in Adidas shops.

that might be the case but that doesn't mean they're shite.  they make great running shoes.  they're simply purpose-built rather than popularity-built.  they're not the kind of shoes you'd normally wanna buy... unless you're buying running shoes.

Seen a few places now, reporting the families as being unhappy with the badge change. Don't know how much truth there is to it, and how much is shit stirring by the media. But it does seem that nobody from the HJC was consulted.

With regard to distribution and outlets in the U.S., I've never seen an Adidas store over here and I've certainly never seen any LFC merchandise in any general sporting good retailers.  Until a few years ago, I never saw any football kits in those stores either.  For the most part I still go to small football-specific shops to find Liverpool gear or just go online - I got this season's track top from one in SF months after it'd been sold out online.  It wouldn't take much for Warrior to improve upon our retail presence over here, they'd really just have to put any sort of effort into it at all.  As for Asia, I would imagine the club and Warrior would have considered this long before the day of the kit release and I imagine they'd secured some sort of distribution deal in the region.  I am curious though, for those who are unable to access paypal and don't have a credit card, is a 100+ USD footall kit a priority?

I agree. I think it's just the standard shipping options though, they probably didn't want to do a whole new shipping system for the new kit.

I remember when the current home shirt came out and everyone was saying the round neck just doesn't look right on a liverpool shirt ::)
Hehe I know it ain't easy for in fact it was the same with our current shirt from my point of view. The round neck is way too large and stands clearly out, and quite similar to our new shirt, ruins a great shirt. We can conclude the neck is a great problem but the our two greatest shirts in recent times (2004-2006 & 2008-2010) have solved that problem great, and I'm hoping for something similar with our new shirts in the future.
