I'm holding the wildcard for the later rounds, I haven't checked the rules for this thouh, do the number of free transfers increase after the group stages?
Unlimited transfers for the quarters, 8 for the semis, 4 for the final. So the best time to play it I reckon is either now or before the 3rd group games.

I've used mine. Going to feel like a fucking idiot if I do shite now after a pretty successful first gameweek.

I got 41 points in the first round which was a decent score but I wanted to transfer many players by using Wildcard. So, I transferred in around 12 players. By mistake I clicked on confirm transfers instead of using wildcard. Now, I will get 39 points deducted from my total points. I'm royally screwed now.  ;D

What I want to ask is will all those points which are to be deducted wouldn't be deducted if I use my wildcard now?

Thanks.  :P

Well, the rule says only:

"You can play 1 transfer wildcard during the tournament. All transfers made in the Matchday your wildcard is played will be without points deduction."

That should mean that if you play your wildcard now, you will have no points deducted. I could be wrong though ;).

If you play your wild card near the end of the tournement surely it is a waste.

I thought you could only have 2 players from each team in your squad?

Right, I used my wildcard and chose more Russian (they should top their group), Spanish (guess they need to win now) and Polish (Performed alright first game) players.

I don't think that you will get those points back. As you have already confirmed your transfers, you will just be wasting your wildcard if you use it now.

Sheva (c) saved my ass last gamesweek but forgot to change my team in time. Hoping he has a good one against France.
Will then play my wildcard for the 3rd gamesweek bringing in 2 Italians and maybe Gerrard.
If he retires I'll eat my fucking cock.

Not a bad start for me. Currently sitting in 7th, with a few players still to play this game week. An England and France clean sheet and Torres/Jelavic getting a couple tonight would do me good.

After ending the first round of matches at the bottom of the league, I felt I had to play my wildcard.

Paying off so far, brought in Gomez and have him as Captain.

EDIT - sorted.

Brought in Rooney and made him captain. Hope it pays off!

Or simply because I have Dzagoev as captain both matches?  ;)

Mind you, I did have both Shay Given and Stephen Ward in the team at one point.  ;D

Fuking hell after a terrible 1st match day I played my wildcard and fuck me it paid off. Finished off with 66pts this 2nd match day. From a 107th in the RAWK league upto 25th!

Pretty surprised I'm currently in 3rd. Gotta say its mostly down to having Dzagoev as captain in both rounds, he's got me 40pts on his own thus far. Hoping for a few more tonight too, Russia should be able to beat Greece. Shame England couldn't keep a clean sheet though.

Think I'm gonna use my wildcard after the groups, get rid of all the players that play for nations who get knocked out.

It's unlimited transfers between the groups stages and the quarters.

The assistant manager is a bit useless.
His advice to me is that I should put Boateng in my starting line-up.
He's suspended.

Ahh, didn't know that, thanks :wave
And yeah, the assistant is pretty pointless. I picked a couple of players at the start based in the assistant recommendations and neither have played a single minute so far..

4th in the RAWK league, and more importantly top of the league I'm in with my mates, 11 points clear.

Don't think it will last though. Already played my wildcard, and used this week's free transfer to sub out the suspended Boateng.

Played my wildcard before and made a load of changes, my team for this match set is now:

Andersen
Alba    Boenisch    Strinic    Zhirkov
Dzagoev (c)    Schweinsteiger    Pilar
Torres  Gomez  Jelavic

With Buffon, Rami, Cabaye and Gerrard to come in depending on performances of the players who play first.
