True and if Germany don't take their chances, the Netherlands have the players to hurt them. That is what frustrates me about the Dutch, the likes of Menig, Ake, Haye, Anderson and Vilhena could light up the final but so far, the tactics seem to be restraining them.

MagicHat, would you say this years Germany side is more talented or last years? I'm hearing mixed reports, some say last year had better individuals?

I think last year's side was more flashy and exciting but imo a lot of people put too much emphasis on flashy plays, dribblings and spectacular goals.

Tactical awareness, vision, discipline, smarts and positional play are just as important and this German side is amazing at that, especially if you consider their age.

Meyer has been flashy at times but I don't think he has a great future.
Goretzka and Saar, who have been unspectacular will imo have far better pro careers, they think the game so well.

Dudziak is both exciting and smart, Dortmund have a great future LB in him!

And don't forget that they played the whole tournament without their biggest talent, Gnabry and still won!

The Netherlands won Germany style thanks to a last minute equalizer after penalties.

Germany was better and deserved to win

Don't think so. If you let in a goal seconds before the end you don't deserve anything imo.
They will learn a lot from this loss.

Congrats Netherlands and great tournament for Germany. D

This year. Perhaps better managed which helps but they seem to have a better keeper, better defenders and bar perhaps lacking a Yesil, a bit more about the squad going forward as well. Last year thought they were not at the same level as the Dutch or Denmark, this year felt they were the strongest and could have done more had they wanted.
