Here you can register your interest and they will notify you when they are selling new memberships. Also the new (I think) 'membership light' is explained. Of course theres the usual price rise in membership from £30 to £33 :/

So much for LFC emailing you to let you know that they are now selling new memberships. I registered my interest, but never received an email from LFC and have just discovered that my memebership has now expired and that they are already selling the memberships for next season. Thanks LFC  :no

Your membership expires at the end of the season. Every season. That's the same for each and every member. They used to run by 1 calendar year from the date you purchased, but for at least 2 years now it runs until the end of the season. It's in the terms and conditions. LFC have no need to notify you.

I think the point is that they said they would inform people but never bothered.

Informed people of what? The membership ending? Or next seasons memberships being on sale? It's made pretty clear that membership runs to the end of the season. (31st May officially). Is it that much of a hassle to check .tv to check if the memberships are on sale? Rather than having to be told? Memberships for next season went on sale on the 6th. And what? It makes no difference if you buy it on the 6th, or the 20th. No difference at all.

(I was notified via email by the way. A while or so back I never got emails from the club when using a hotmail account. I changed to gmail and now get every email. So check that)

No it wasn't too much hassle to check LFC.tv for membership sale updates, but I shouldn't have needed to do that as it shouldn't have been too much trouble for the club to send out emails to notify when the new memberships are on sale, when that is what they promised to do.

Divide that up over 19 home league games thats a massive 0.16p off each ticket

"Every little helps"

Doesn't matter how small it is (so I've been told anyway :P ).  Over the last couple of years because of changes the amount I've paid for home league matches (including membership) is the same in cash terms.  In real terms its about a £50 cut.

your point is correct that its no big deal to get the membership.  However the club put up a link to register your interest and they would email when they were available. They then just never bothered, so it was a pointless link and a broken promise. Good service is based on consistency and that is something the ticket office constantly fails on.

Being a football supporter is different to being a customer of any other brand where people shop where they prefer. However if we do end up with an increased capacity and we're looking to bring in less committed supporters then things like this could make a real difference.

Having a problem with renewing my membership. HELP REQUIRED!

In May I was sent a letter by the club telling me that my membership will be renewed automatically on or just after 18th May (which i expected) and I didnt need to do anything. They also said that they will 'notify' me 'should payment collection fail'.

So, it is now 13 June and my membership hasnt been renewed, and I have had no notification of a payment failure. Ticket office let down again.
So I go to renew on the website, I enter in all the details, and then when I click to pay, it says 'ERROR', contact customer services. I've tried this way with 2 cards as well, and both do the same thing.

I will ring tomorrow, but can anyone give us a heads up on what the problem might be?

Dunno but my auto-renewal didn't go through despite updating my payment details in april.  So I rang up last week and they renewed it for me.  Also had a couple of follow ups on a query I sent in about it and both said I now have the light membership (that I paid for saturday)

I was set up to auto renew, maybe that's why some didn't get emails? The only email I got was saying the renewal had failed, so I clicked the link, paid through the site, and got my membership. Easy peasy. Roll on August.

Last year it was the equivelent of this year's week starting 16th July I think.

Aye, I'm away pretty much the same dates. Hoping it's later or I'll have to entrust someone with getting all my tickets for me which could be a nightmare.

I'm right in thinking that as long as I've bought my membership before the sales start I can be involved right? There's no leadtime between becoming a member and having that memberhip 'activated' is there? I am an existing member if that makes a difference so already have my card etc.

I think last seasons ticket sales started on 11th July and 9th November. This season starts a week later compared with last season, so those two dates may be a week later this season as well.

I was in Spain last year when the tickets went on sale in July, probaly the same again this year. Thought it would be a bad head to get online, good connection etc, but it was easy. Indeed, I would say even easier than in this country….or maybe that’s just me being paranoid! Only problem I had was the Mrs.  She wasn't happy at me ducking and diving and making excuses to go on the computer in the hotel reception.   She's not gonna happy this year either.

Predictions for number of games needed to get in the first round of sales - 13 to 15 ?
It’s not even about individuality, it’s about the team. Our game was based on his controlling of the tempo. Squeeze the life out of the opposition and then strike. That is our game. Like a pack of pythons.

Got a card today (like a birthday card, not like a member's card) which apparently is the membership light pack. Just says what the membership includes, and to continue using your old member's card for getting into the ground.

It was 13 last year so I think it'll be at least 14....probably 15 though.

Cant wait for them to come on sale. Got all 19 from last year but had to get seats scattered around the main/centenary/AR in the 2nd half of the season as I only had 12 from the year before. This year its block 305 all the way  :wave

They doing the sales all in one go again for definite?  Can shove the membership where the sun don't shine, fucking awful way of doing it. Have to plan months ahead and spend a small fortune in one go, right around when your about to go  on summer hols and then do it all again just before Christmas. Great if your single and no family, fucking shite otherwise. Probably saves the club a few quid doing it at once and saves me buying 2 memberships, fan card it is again and getting late availability when I know I can make the game. how can you know in November if you can make a game in April, especially with Sky changing the goal posts when they feel like it.

I do have a family to look after, but I don't struggle with money either. I'm not well off, I can just afford to buy the way they ask, because I save each month.

Every person has a different angle on it and bearing in mind that I buy mine and my mates tickets for every game, and have done for the last 9 years, it is a much better way for me to purchase, because I only need to worry about it twice a year now. It saves ball aching around for another 17 times in a season!

I also understand why it's not popular though.
