Why? No point spending the extra
Because just for this season me and my old man have got rid of season tickets, so it's more so me, my lad, my old man and my brother can all sit together. Which is a bit more difficult in the Dad and lad section. We'll only being going to a few games as I'm working away a lot this year and so is my old man, hence are sabbatical from the season ticket this year.

Yeah, you just need to link your memberships online first and then you can allocate the tickets to your individual names when you pick your seats.
Nice one, thought that how it might be.

Unless they've changed it you aren't restricted to buying child tickets in the Anny Rd Upper on a child membership, you can buy a ticket for a child anywhere in the ground as long as you pay the appropriate price for it.

You could have got your lad a child membership and still bought him a ticket in the Kop or wherever you want to sit with you, your dad and brother. You would just have to pay the adult price for it.

Oh right.  Ah well fuck it I've done it now.  He won't be going to that many games anyway.

If you give them a ring they might be able to cancel the adult one and let you buy him a junior one. He gets the different 'goodie' pack and the do a random draw for junior members to be mascots. Makes no difference from a ticket point of view unless they've changed the rules, might be an idea to check that before you change it.

Following the online 'upgrade'

The following has appeared on the ticket exchange page:

"Note to MEMBERS: the purchase of the game you wish to return must have resulted in the activation of your Member card in order to use this feature."

Meaning it looks like us lowly members are going to be able to return online next year! Looks good

Can you provide a link, tried looking for it but can't find it.

I quite liked the pen and the card holder thing the year before.

I have a problem: I am on auto renewal but as my card details changed I received an email saying they weren't able to process the purchase (auto-renew would have changed me from full to light membership, which was fine). Later today I was able to renew it by myself (with new card details of course) BUT now it seems I can't log on to the website and/or online video area. As membership has nothing to do with online membership or whatever it is called, I can't see why it suddendly stopped working. And surely you should able to log on to liverpoolfc.tv without being a member? I can't try logging in on ticket sales page as they're updating it, so is this a) just my own login problem or b) caused by website updates or c) somebody else's problem too?

Just renewed membership, done full, just know at some point you will get some sort of priority over light.  Also, could only do with Mastercard and Visa.  Don't remeber that fromlast year, I'm sure i did it woth Maestro.  Not clever Liverpool if you have limited to these two only.

I know you never know with our TO but surely they couldn't give priority to people just because they decided to pay an extra fiver or so for a notebook and pen?

They can do whatever they like, unfortunately. That's why I've got for full membership this season just incase and then drop it next season if there is no different in loyalty.

There is nothing in the Terms and Conditions that says full members get access to tickets ahead of light members. Think if they suddenly decided to give full members precedence they would need to offer all light members an option to upgrade, or face a load of court cases for false advertising.

They can't really though. There is absolutely nowhere, nowhere at all, that indicates there will be a ticket priority for full over light. I'm getting the light, and I can 100% guarantee if they did do this, I would never set foot in Anfield again.

I'll have you pint at some point in the future that as long the two different levels exist, there will be some sort of priority given to full members.  It may not directly be tickets, but...... . Full for me.

Meaning what? I should be happy to be missold? Because essentially, thats what it adds up to if the club decide that the 'full' membership should get priority tickets over 'light'. They've led many to believe that the sole difference is free stuff, which I don't need or want. So I'm trusting that this is the sole difference. As long as I don't get fucked over, I'll be happy.

Just rang up and got it switched to the light membership.  Now to wait for the inevitable direct debit payment for full membership to go out next week (!)

In December I created an account on liverpoolfc.tv just so I could get emailed by them etc. Now, when I try to buy a light membership it is saying that I have got an account already (I have used the same card to buy tickets on general sale that I used to try to get a light membership). There is also no option to upgrade my membership, any ideas?

Meaning that this is the LFC ticket office we're talking about so the chances of you and the other 'light' members getting fucked over are about 99.9% and you're willing to risk that for the sake of a few quid and will spit your dummy and chuck your teddies when the inevitable happens.

No fucking way in a million years will full members get priprity over light members.

Just last season fancard holders were given same rights as members. Its just the club listening to the supports committee for once

They're advertising what I need, basically for 2 different prices. The more expensive price includes nothing more than a scarf or something which I dont want. They are advertising the 'light' option as being everything the 'full' option is minus the gift. I'm very entitled to be fucking pissed off if it turns out any different to that.

and minus some discounts, but they are only of use if you intend to use them.  The light membership now effectively means the cost of me going to home league games has actually gone down for this season (albeit by £3).

Divide that up over 19 home league games thats a massive 0.16p off each ticket
