Does anyone know what the siutation is re Europa League if we win. Does the FA Cup have a greater standing than the Carling meaning we would start our Europa games in a later round? Would Everton then get an automatic place for being runners up if Chelsea qualify via CL?

If chelsea win champ league they'll automaticlly get a champ league place so that will mean that we, regardless of winning cup or not ,will get the FA cup winners europa place and as that superseeds the place given to the carling cup winners we should get entry into last qualifying round of europa and not the 1st one. Also our europa place from the carling cup would then go to the team in 6th place, assuming we dont finish there. Complicated but understandable.

Tghink the Chelsea line up could be impacted by Newcastle. That will be a tough game that Chelsea will need to go all out.

We have no excuses to to turn in a lack lustre performance. Chelsea are knackered.

He immense.", (I know, I know, they are only children remember...) and lastly, "We've got better fans than you."... That's why we must win Kenny and the Lads, ok?

Hopefully Kenny will go with the side that beat Norwich, maybe swap Downing for Maxi, but that's my personal choice, we looked so much better with Gerrard higher up the pitch supplying Luis, and I saw it mentioned that all 3 goals were as a direct result of pressurizing high up the pitch, we certainly didn't look like we were as dominant as against WBA, but we were a lot more ruthless, we weren't 'looking' for a way through, there was no thoughts about how to break them down, we just did it.
Chelsea are without some key players on Saturday, but let's not forget they have at least 3 available for whom this will be 'the' biggest game this season, and will give their all. I think we need players that are suited to a fast passing game, as opposed to 'crossing and hoping to hit Andy' type game, hopefully kenny realises that should we revert to lumping it into the box then Terry will have an easy afternoon of it, he hates fast passing owing to the fact milk turns quicker than he does.
I can't remember being this nervous before a big game either, I think it's got something to do with the fact a certain Spaniard has found his form all of a sudden, he's played absolute stinkers against us since he moved and we've loved it, and I reckon I'm not the only one on here that reckons there's no bigger stage for him to right a few wrongs as far as form goes. It won't be the first time recently that they've sacked a manager and the 'caretaker' has gone on and suprised us all either.

I keep going from not being confident at all to thinking we're going to win 3-0.

The Gerrard and Suarez partnership gives me a lot of hope. Think we'll need to score twice to win, as it's pretty much nailed on that Torres is going to score.

It's going to be nervy, but I reckon 2-1 win in Extra Time.

The thought of winning this Final & parading the FA Cup at Anfield on the Tuesday makes froff at the mouth.

Iv'e got the exact same feeling towards this game that i had towards the Semi against Everton. Unbearable if we lose but the best feeling if we win. We've allready beat this plastic bunch twice this season so the fact there favourites is beyond belief but we all know we do better when we're underdogs.

It'll be interesting to see who Chelsea play and which competitions they priorities. I'd love to see Terry, Ramirez & Mata rested and Bosingwa play. I'd also like to See Suarez get at Luiz or Cole.

With all the football the've been playing I wonder if we should lock the game down and tire them out before going all out late in regular time or extra time, kind of like what we did to Arsenal early in the year.

I think that midfield pairing is the best we have at present and as much as I like Spearing in the middle breaking things up I think we need to be more adventurous and get at them from the start. The pressing game of the Jordan and Jonjo should help enormously with that!
I wouldn't normally suggest Dirk for the starting 11 but he just seems to have a bit of a hoodoo over Chelsea and as we all know...has a nack for scoring a big goal!

And I know we should concentrate on ourselves but....I'm really hoping that Newcastle make them work their socks off in midweek and maybe cause one of two currently in form to pick up a niggle as any disruption to the team that's playing and winning for them at the minute is good for us

Pretty fucking nervous. Slightly worried about our midfield but hopefully Hendo, Gerrard and co will show up. I would like Carroll to start but I have a feeling he will be benched so we can have more bodies in the middle. If we win this and Chelsea also lose in the Champions league final, I will be very happy.
