Cant blame them for being pissed off. Is a joke the amount of favouritism Madrid and Barca get in Spain.

It is the worst of jokes. The 18 clubs should vote to separate and make their own league - it's possibly quite a good way to give those 18 clubs the power.
I know what you mean. I really wish the Madrid born former Real Vallodolid, Osasuna, Tenerife, Extremadura, Valencia and Inter Milan manager stayed loyal and faithful to a foreign club that sacked him by never managing another club again. Burn him.

Must admit I was a little bit dense when watching that I thought the subtitles were what they were singing and thinking that chant doesn't scan very well and it was something about Ed Balls it going to be a long day.

Boss way to protest, and one of those times you're glad Twitter is around to get the message out there to the world, since as he said, the tv broadcasters barely mentioned it.
You have posted literally nothing of substance to flame about.  Your "points", and I dread to call them that, were superficial and completely arbitrary.  Nothing you said could be argued against because nothing you said elaborated a position of any kind.

Funny people mentioned this as a great idea when a few months back they were supporting Ayre's plan to get a separate TV deal for Liverpool.

As has been said, and pointed out before.

For Barca and Real to get so much more money than the rest of the league, is a travesty to the financial fair play rules that UEFA have brought in.

I just watched the YT on mute at work and thought the same at first, was thinking "that's a bit of a shit chant" - might have to watch it again at home with sound. ;D

Fair play to them though.

Rafa is only the second manager to win 2 La Liga titles with a club other than Madrid or Barca in the entire 100+ year history of La Liga.

Delusional to say the least.

Real Madrid and Barcelona get reported that much because they generate the interest themselves. Lots of television and radio stations, sports newspapers and their journalists subsist alone because of these two clubs. Sponsors will choose to release their spots in shows related to them because they will get the bigger audiences and hence the bigger chance their product will be bought.

Forget how the interest is shared in England. In Spain it's all about Real Madrid and then Barcelona, with Atletico being third but still very far from these two.

That's fair enough, but incidents like this (another game being delayed to show an interview on tv) would be a bit much for any supporter to stomach. Fair play to the Sevilla fans. That banner's hilarious! "Stop the game, Mourinho's still talking"  :D

I share the view that the other 18 clubs should breakaway. That seems to be the only solution.

Am I right in thinking La Liga has been a two horse race since Rafa left Valencia?

In 2006 four teams finished within 2 points of Real Madrid, who finished 2nd. And Villareal came 2nd in 2008. But you're right more or less.

No different to United etc. in England. But we haven't resorted to such financial favoritism over here.

You'll have to be more specific Stevie. It's hard to know what you refer to if you don't.

That's not the solution for them, in fact, it would be their destruction.

...and how much of that interest has been 'self' generated thanks to the TV rights advantage they enjoy?

I mean, whichever way you look at it, Real and Barca stink. Either every club does their own TV rights, or none do. What doesn't make sense is the current bollocks system where Real, Barca, Bayern and a few others negotiate their own deals with every other club being part of a shared deal.

Man Utd and Liverpool, for example, generate a lot more TV based interest, and Utd in particular have big financial advantages from their business etc.

But English clubs share revenue from the Premier league, and have done for ages, which puts us at a gigantic disadvantage compared to the Spanish giants, which is ironic considering Platini only ever seems to talk about the PL when he's talking about financial doping etc etc.
