If that's the case then it looks even more likely that Kenny will go at the end of the season. That's a big if mind.

Not to mention a Moyes led team.
It's true to say that if Shankly had told us to invade Poland we'd be queuing up 10 deep all the way from Anfield to the Pier Head.

Just got a question. What do you think would happen if we finish bottom half?

Would the owners pull the trigger or would they give Kenny more time. Whats the precendant with these owners at the Red Sox, do they give a manager time if do they pull the trigger if they don't meet the expectations?

Can we have a separate thread for people who care more about cups than the league so people can actually discuss our abysmal season without getting the same argument thrown about?

I agree, fuck all these cups off. I think we should follow the "Arsenal model" of 3rd/4th every season and fuck all cups.

How football has changed hey.
Back in 1965 and 1974 winning the FA Cup was classed has a glorious achievment, disregarding our league form.

well its 2012 and we have to accept that .. living in the glorious past is the reason we are in this situation right now .. "oh fuck it, we are the most successful team in England"

Very good point raised by somebody else that how we play as very much how West Ham tried to play under Zola.

They struggled to score as well if I recall

Clarke is off at the end of the season so I was told today.

A case of another job on the horizon (Mourinho possibly back in the UK) or something else? Surely, if he was to go, it raises the possibility there will be a new manager at the helm and Kenny will be reassigned to a new role. Or after this season Kenny simply wants someone new as his assistant.

This argument about our cup achievements is just totally disingenuous. We are twelve points, twelve points ahead of lowly Wigan.. Can we talk about the league?

Now the cup runs are fantastic, fair play to the team and the management for them. But what's gone so wrong with our league form? Why are our performances so different? Is it indifference with the players? They seem to get up for certain games and doss about in others. Why make such an effort in Blackburn away, playing for a place in the FA Cup semi-final starting eleven, yet put in sub-standard performances in other league games? Are they not bothered about playing for pride or the shirt, or does there have to be a tangible goal within immediate reach that warrants their full attention and effort?

Bad result, we looked hopeless today.

Made up for Roy though, he had a hard time and was rewarded today with a well deserved victory, nice to see him doing well at West Brom.

I would rather us win or challenge for the league and play in the Champions League than win the Carling Cup and be 8th with as many wins as losses.

There I said it. Crucify me.

This league campaign has been nothing short of a disaster, a complete and utter shambles which is continuing to break records each week. If Kenny had the answers we would have sorted it by now, and it can't be down to purely bad luck if it happens this often.

Great cup form, shite league form - we are Spurs of the 90's, Portsmouth under Harry or Leicester under Martin O'Neill. A mid-table club who focus on the domestic cups as their best chance of success. That is simply not good enough for Liverpool Football Club.
