A combination between that and Redknapp making some huge tactical mistakes have seen them go backwards.

I dont know if it's Bale believing his own hype or Redknapp believing it, but the indugence with which he's played since xmas is shocking. Wanders around the pitch popping up in all manner of positions and doing bugger all in any of them.
