Is Steven Gerrard "Still" Good For Liverpool?

The best thing BR can do with Gerard is be honest and say it, as it is and to have a handover plan phasing in other player(s); plus a plan for Stevie post-player and what capacity he will work in, for the club. I would hate for us to treat him like we did Dalglish. Lets be smart and organised with SG (and JC).

Thats spot on.It's all about the good of the team AND the club.We all know stevie isn't the same player he was but we dont have to humiliate him into retiring. I'm sure the club will find a way to use him and his fame for the good. And it seems Br maybe hinting at moving Carra into a more non-playing role. This is the way the club should have acted in the past.
Rohit:
Bit hard to score goals when your asked to play as a defensive midfielder as the club were foolish enough to go into the season with only lucas as an attacking midfielder. Regardless of that stupid stat of us winning more without Gerrard is probably down to him returning as Lucas was injured thus leaving us with no midfield. Also, the whole injury thing, all of Gerrards fault? I think not, he's played his part playing stupid unnecessary games for England but the club have played as big a part in rushing him back from injury or pumping him full of painkillers so he can play even while carrying hernias and groin strains.

Not sure if you're serious about wanting to sell defensive players due to lack of goals. If so, please, talk me through it because I don't really understand that concept.

You said 5 goals for your top player isn't good enough. Lucas is one of our top players and isn't getting anymore than 5 goals. Why is Gerrard's contribution only measured by goals?
Veinticinco de Mayo:
If this were a boxing match it would be stopped so I am stopping it on compassionate grounds.
Locked to save Andy further embarrassment.
