So basically no central midfield? Nice.

It's alright he used this formation on FIFA and we won 6-0.
Been all over the world but Anfield is still my home.

A reminder to all fans travelling to Wembley, make sure you take an extra pair of socks with you. There is rumours of a contingent travelling down there who are bit partial to taking other peoples socks.

Agger will deffo play

Wouldn't surprise if he started left back with Skrtel and Carragher in the centre.

Why in the hell would he leave out Enrique?

Not in the greatest of form is he? I wouldn't do it myself, just have this weird hunch.

Not in the greatest of form? What can we say about Carragher then?

The whole team hasn't been in the greatest of form, and leaving out Enrique would be suicide imo. Our best back-four this season has always included him in it, so it would be really foolish not to play him. He's been solid the majority of the season. Plus he didn't start at Blackburn, which means that he's almost certain to start at Wembley.

What do you call Shevley and Gerrard? You mean Defensive Mid? When that player is Spearing? Personally I'd prefer to let Skrtel and Agger do the job they're so damn good at and throw another all round mid/ attacker in instead.

I'm nervous about Brad Jones for this one. Don't think he came to meet a single cross against Blackburn and just seemed very hesitant at doing so. Everton's best chance of scoring might be from set plays and I probably won't bear to watch if we are defending a corner.  :-\

I don't think we have a hope in hell of keeping a clean sheet, Everton WILL score from a set-piece. We just have to make sure we score more.

Seen him for the ressies recently against Arsenal and he looked ok coming for crosses. Different scenario, I know, but i'm sure he'll be fine.

I don't think we can afford to play deep as a result. Must play a high line and a possession game. Otherwise, i sadly see Everton scoring more than one goal.

Why is everyone so negative?  :(

I voiced my concern about Brad Jones, but that's only natural as we've only see him play for us for 60 or so odd minutes, which did include a howler. But if Johnson, Agger, Skrtel, and Enrique all start in defense I think they'll find it very hard to break us down.

Right?? Or I am I clutching straws?

i think concerns with a new 3rd choice GK are fair. We should just setup to score a shitload of goals, be fine then :)

I feel very confident of a win. Worryingly, too confident  :-\.

The only way to avert the goal keeping crisis is to ensure that the gk barely sees the ball. Make him redundant to the game. So the only we can do that is by keeping possession of the ball and playing a high line so that Jones isn't made to work too much. Play deep and Everton will bombard us crosses and high balls. Really don't want to find out how Brad handles that to be honest. I'd rather not know.

Spearing absolutely bossed the midfield against the blueshite at Anfield. No reason he couldn't do it again. Jay starts for me.

It's a shame all this behind the scenes stuff has overshadowed what should be the biggest game of the season. Really excited for this, can't wait.
