The European Cup draw has pushed these thoughts back up to the forefront of my mind, had me remembering a particular goal that sent me absolutely insane. I was in a pub with a good friend who supports Barcelona, he had his head in his hands - could barely watch, Chelsea were running down the clock and looked certain to reach the final in Rome, Barca had ten men, and Andy Gray pipes up with "Don't think Cech's made a save all night." My mate snapped his head up angrily and shouted "He won't make a save, but he will pick the ball out the net." That was with ten minutes to go, and I don't think either of us really believed it. It took until the 93rd minute for him to be proved right, but when he did the two of us went berserk, easily the most I've celebrated a non-Liverpool goal, although nothing compared to this commentator:

So it got me thinking - what is your equivilent of this moment? A huge goal against United or Everton? A goal that meant a great deal to somebody you watched it with? A goal that won you a £400 accumulator?

Think it was that season when we were actually going for the title under Rafa and I'm not sure if Chelsea were close or something but I think they were playing West Ham and the Hammers scored first, went nuts.

Iniesta's goal that you mentioned,Messi's header against the Mancs in Rome and Dellas' header for Greece against Czech Republic in Euro 2004.

Goals against England in tournaments, Mancs losing big Euro games, Villa and Spurs goals v Utd in the title run in, Iniesta v Chelsea.

This goal for Roma in the fifth minute of stoppage time won me a decent wedge aswell so that was immense.

I remember the Messi goals against United in the CL finals, and the Villa one last season - I was so happy I couldn't celebrate. I just stood up - and you know that feeling - where you want to thank the world for being such a beautiful place.

Iniesta vs Chelsea. They just played such anti football I was so happy that Barcelona finally broke through. I celebrated like I scored the goal

dont think i celebrated i just laughed hysterically for ages, from the goal, to the penalty appeal and ref being chased through to drogpas its a disgwace. It has to be the funniest five minutes of footy possibly ever.

Going for Iniesta as well, strange so many have gone for that one.

I think the reason I didn't go for any Barca goals in the finals against Man U is because they were more of a relief than anything, that iniesta goal was like a knife to the heart of those fucking classless gobshites.

Chelsea-Barcelona was amazing. Everyone complained about Barca get help from the referee but nobody mentions the phantom red card for Abidal or all the missed calls in the first leg. When Chelsea knocked us out that year, I think that was when Drogba was pretending to be injured off the pitch and then he rolled onto the pitch to stop play! Serves everyone involved with that club right. Love all the whining and complaining about the referee afterwards. Love it.

The problem with watching this sport in Australia is most matches are 2-3am meaning I must be careful with my celebrations so that I don't wake up the rest of the house haha.

2006/07 La Liga's second to last round, Real Zaragoza v Real Madrid & Barca v Espanyol, both games played at the same time, Real were leading the league by head to heads and were losing in this game 1-2 while Barca were winning 2-1, meaning Barca are three points clear ahead of Madrid. With one minute left, RVN equalizes for Madrid and 18 seconds later Tamudo equalized for Espanyol (game is remembered for Messi scoring a handball goal similar to Maradona's one vs England) This meant both teams are on same points again and Madrid remained above Barcelona in the table.

I went mental that night after those two aforementioned goals.

Chlesea were denied a defo peno, but a ten man Barca held their nerve kept trying to play their footie, despite Chelsea missing loads of chances - Drogba in particular got off the hook that night - then Iniesta to crack in that beauty, brilliant night.
