Its a Semi final though, we need to win the thing!

I haven't been this nervous about a semi since that time I watched Brokeback Mountain.

You must have missed the FA Cup semi final we'll be playing in a couple of weeks.

Semi?

Will playing in a semi go down as a high in the annals of Liverpool history? We havent even won it and on current form Im not 100% confident we will.

Everton are above us in the league and the one thing you can say about them is they dont give up and battle 100%, we havent been doing that of late.

Maybe Im wrong, but I cant bring myself to celebrate getting to a semi final, pretty sure Shankly would feel the same way, so if Im on my own in this Im in good company at least

So let me get this straight.

Gerrard screamed "Fuck off" at Kenny and told him to get off the pitch. Then Carroll hurled a load of foul-mouthed abuse at Kenny and the bench before storming down the tunnel, ripping his shirt off and throwing it on the floor.

Did all that really happen or is it all a figment of the imagination of those RAWKites who have a clear agenda?

Whoa, wait, sorry what? I take it this was April Fool days bollocks from yesterday?

Nah. Gerrard shouted at Kenny that he was gonna play right back or something about Flanagan. Thik Jim Boardman retweeted about it to clear it up:

Anfield Index ‏ @AnfieldIndex  Reply  Retweet  Favorite ·  Open

People claiming Gerrard had a go a Kenny can shut up. i've just looked at it & Stevie explained that Flano = LB, Stevie = RB. That's ALL.

Reports from the mirror said Andy came off and launched a foul mouthed tirade at Kenny. The article said he just came off and swore to himself whilst ripping his top off.

I counter that with a 'I wanted liverpool to conquor the bloody world, Napoleon had that idea...' and we could only do that by getting at least 4th to play against the worlds best...

Sorry if sounding like an arse, just trying to cheer myself up a bit

I just don't see what good, some people think will come of sacking Kenny. We're not finishing in a champions league place (and if you argue with that you are deluded) Kenny has got us to the semi-final of the F.A Cup which is down to him and his staff. If you would choose to sack someone who has done so much for the club, for the sake of an F.A Cup and a slightly better league place and not give Kenny 1 full season of support and backing then in my mind you would be better off supporting someone else and we'd be better off without you.

You're right, eerie similarities to how we played in the last days of rafa... but as much as I didn't agree with it I could understand the desire to change... Too much history with rafa and the rabid desire to get rid of him had to be fulfilled..... Just don't understand wtf has changed since the turn of the year ... We should have been suffering this level of inconsistency earlier on in the season .... We had managed to stay close to 4th for sometime .... Does.not.compute......fuse blows.

We managed to stay close to the top 4 because the level of consistency below the top 2 was poor.  Spurs managed it for a while before faltering.

It's been more or less like this (barring a few months in between) for 3 years now, ever since the end of the 2008-09 season. There's a false dawn, hope, then reality sinks in. You know what though? Under Roy's brief reign, watching the games became almost masochistic in a way. You knew we'd lose, you knew we'd play horribly yet you watched anyway. It's almost like willingly putting yourself through that torture over and over again. But, back then, there was always hope. Hope that once it got bad, I mean really REALLY bad, and we'd hit rock bottom, we'd be on the way up. There'd be new owners ( we got new owners), there'd be a new manager (we got a new manager), and most importantly there'd be money to spend (and we spent shitloads)

But what now? How we gonna fix this? What's gonna make this turn around? The only thing that could seemingly fix it would be to throw money at the problem. Money we already spent. Money we don't have.

so true ,its depressing back then you knew the worst it got the better it would be .Hodge be out and so will the americans .

Nothing happened that doesn't happen on almost every football pitch at all levels up and down the country, its all bring blown out of proportion.

I don't think he'll be sacked before the end of the season; there's no point while we're still in the cup. If we get knocked out of the cup though, his position is going to become quite untenable. I would then expect him to walk, but not until May.

Kenny won't be the one deciding his own future unfortunately.  FSG will be the ones to decide who manages this team next year, whether that is Kenny or someone else.

And they should leave him where he is.....which they will do.
If we end up winning the FA Cup, which is still highly possible (although without Pepe, could be more difficult), and end up finishing one position lower in the League than last season.....is that really a disaster??? I think it would certainly be a vast improvement on last season..

2014/15 season is the one to look at for me. Said it before, and ill say it again. I'd be happy for a challenge for 4th next season. That's how far we have fallen. The words of a supporter who supports a mid-table club now.

Next season will be around the same. Next summer decisions will be made regarding that. Getting 4th now has ended up being what the league title was for us under Rafa. A very slim thing.

All created by mostly members of this forum, we are the new Newcastle, I.E the laughing stock of the Premier League. This is what happens when you give fans power, they flush the club down the toilet on a epic level, fan power is the worst virus in this club, they wanted Kenny Dalglish as manager and due to the owners wanting to be liked when they first came in, they caved in like cowards. Same thing happened at Newcastle with Alan Shearer and this same forum mocked those set of fans.

No sane logical fan of this club wanted Kenny Dalglish, how on earth could you expect him to come back after so long out the game and seriously take this club on for next 10yrs etc....

It's not Kennys fault, it's not the owners, it's not even players, it's down to 90% of the "super fan" supporters of this club. In reality KD reign will be remembered alongside Roy Hodgson's reign, that is the reality whether these super fans want to admit, and the bigger reality is hes made a even worst go at it than Roy, cause Roy never wasted or had the chance to spend 100 million on what is in reality pure shite.

One must try not to have the attitude of "i told you so" at times like this, but i said at the time

Kenny being manager was a bad move
Henderson signing for 20m was ridiculous
Carrol for 35m is the worst transfer in the premier league history

This club last 12 months has made fuck up after fuck up, it is down to the majority of the fans who wanted Kenny, who wanted X amount of money to be spent just for sake of it  instead of waiting for the right players.

I don't give a crap what abuse i get for this post but you all know it is right, Kenny is making Roy look like a genius. All this has all proved is what a amazing job Rafa actually did, again driven out the club by the majority of fans.

Fan power is the worst thing at this club, and sadly it will carry on as super fans will demand Kenny stays in charge until we are bottom of the league, then the players will still get the blame or maybe even the owners. Ridiculous, and whilst he is in charge im pasted caring anymore.

Carry on wearing your rose tinted glasses super fans.
Nice attempt there.

I'm saying that people that actually go and actually support their club are delighted that we've got to a Semi-Final.
