Missus confirmed she's too bitter to even spend a day having a night out with 'A Red'

You forget how fucking bitter these people are.

Mind you it's been a while since 1995.

A good day out with vermin that call is murderers and have a ground that resembles a match-box. Calling it a fucking shithole would be being generous.

I've got very good mates that are Evertonians. You can't talk to them about football; it inevitably leads to the same conclusion.

Your spot on mate, my best man after a derby about 8 yrs ago sent a message to our kids moby which read ' you murdering bastards' charming isnt it. Told our kid to call him out but the shithouse refused, havent spoken to the twat since.

Having said that i dont agree wi the abuse El Ivy is getting, its his opinion thats all, and if thats how he feels, whats the problem. And i agree wi Andy, think there'll be trouble.

May be its already been posted but remember the last FA Cup tie against Everton when Kenny was in charge.
Kenny left.
I'm fucking dreading this one!

Was in the street end for that, loads of us in there. I was physically shattered after the game, never felt it like that before or since, and theres been some! I've wanted Kenny back since that day he walked, a sick man. Long live the 'king'

nailed on...the hatred between the clubs is off its cake these days....add a hot day, 60,000 fans and a load of ale to the mix and its time to cancel all police leave IMO....

Am I Gregorio? Only remarked to you above as you commented on how they went at Sunderland & said If we go at Them the same way? We very likely Will win as bad as they've been recently? Our team are just better than them man for man & if we play to our potential? That will out & give us victory IMO.  Anyway mate, The rest of my discussion was with Upinsmoke who seems to think some of us are disgraces for posting on here or writing disgraceful remark for I know not why.  You're right about excited though - Am that & dreading it as well since if they do fluke  yet Another win over us in the FA Cup? We'll never hear the fucking end of it - About time we gave them another damn good stuffing in the Cup.  Way to long since 1989...................

Yep AndyAtAllerton - Experienced first hand Just what they're like even in my longterm hometown (after moving to it from up North when Very young indeed) down here in the wilds of leafy Hertfordshire.  My very First ever Birds dad is an utterly mad, completely rabid Blue to rank with the Worst of them.  Saw her waaaaaay back in '06 for the first time in Years & nearly got back with her (she was drunk, sentimental, rambling on about her "first ever love" etc - Anyway didn't go far after that night).  To cut a long story short? I walked her home from the pub as we had as I say not met up in years, things got a bit amorous, she took me into her house when we got there, and her Dad was sat in the Living room drinking - Her mum said Hi to me, asked how I was etc as you do - Her & her family had known me since I was 7 or so after all.  First thing her Dad says on seeing me? "You, what the Hell are You doing here? You're a Red aren't you Simon? Why is my wife & daughter letting an evil, vile gobshite fan of Those murderin' b*stards into My home? What the hell are You doing here Redshite? Get out of my living room before I forget myself!! You evil, wall pushin', murderin', blame shifting, arrogant Red so & so......" Cue a drunken rant about all things "redshite" & bad about us for the next 30 odd mins & her Mum & her embarrassingly having to usher me into the Hallway to talk & Slam the door shut behind them to stop him virtually charging into the hallway to shout at me as I sat on the stairs & chatted for a few mins & all this? Happened at gone 11.30 at night on a Friday evening!! To say I thus know What they're like at their Very worst? Is an understatement & thinking about it? I remember plenty of similar rants from him when I was younger though I had not a clue what he was ranting on about back then.  Anyway, My ex' needless to say was a Blue as well but at least she had some class & knew When to zip it as did her mum - Her father on the other hand? Virtually Defines Our image of the Blueshite & could have come straight from the pages of Bluekipper...............

Everton getting there is making me have a good think about not going.

I just think it could be a day that doesn't do the city a lot of good. Sincerely hope not but someone is going to lose and there are a lot of very bitter blues among their younger generation.

It's really sad to see. I worry about the city being dragged through more shit and I am really worried about what might be sung/shouted the day before Hillsborough.

I'm honestly not sure I want to be there. I would normally want Everton to beat Sunderland and do well in the Cup because I've got loads of decent family etc and I think it's healthy for the City, but I was so desperate for them to lose tonight so we could have a nice day out in London.

I am concerned.

Get a grip. My missus is a bluenose and is down in Sunderland now - no doubt celebrating her head off.

Most - as in 99.9% of their fans are sound. Just like ours. 99.9% of ours are sound too.

But out of a few hundred thousand - that .1% are fucking c*nts. On both sides.

Hopefully our lot will collar our dickheads and sort them out and their lot will collar their dickheads and sort them out

Should be stickied this - for those who don't know enough about the City of Liverpool.

I have no time, nor patience for Internet Warriors who know really do know fuck all about the rivalry between the two clubs.
There are too many shit stirrers hiding behind keyboards, who really don't have a clue.

Andy's brief response absolutely nails it on the head in reference to how the day will pan out.

Pistolero? Depends what you mean by "shouting the odds" no? If you mean by fancying our chances On the pitch? Reckon both types of our fans do that given how well we've done in Cups this year.  If you mean re' Trouble? We shall see - Maybe not as many Bad Blues back up there now but my ex's dad of who I wrote & is one of The worst examples of them I've ever seen? Is From Liverpool so it's not just OOT's who are bad.  Anyway used to live in Lancashire when Much younger & got virtually dragged to Anfield when young by Liverpool Mad cousins determined to hook Me on the Reds to - Needless to say? It worked................... ;)

Timbo's? I know Plenty about the rivalry between the clubs & have Never lived in Liverpool - Though I lived about 60 odd miles away in Lancs' when younger once - Either way? Don't like the implication I'm an internet warrior who knows little about the rivalry - Been to plenty of our matches & would of done much more but for ill-health & long term treatment virtually curtailing That option for the rest of my life.  Anyway - I'm not saying there Will be trouble just for the hell of it - Nor are others on here - We just think the bitterness, bile & even envy as well as the hatred of us on Their side? Is just to widespread & strong for their "wise heads" to be able to stop All of them.  One of them somewhere down the line or maybe one of ours? Will get through & do something they shouldn't - At a game with an audience That size & with Our teams' histories? You can almost take that to the bank.  To say they Hate us & all we've ever done? Is not putting it remotely strongly enough - They utterly despise us as we do them & that has got worse & worse in recent years (particularly with our ascendancy over them On the pitch) so much to the point now that? Though I'm Sad to say it - I expect in that game? Trouble Will be virtually inevitable whatever is done to stop it............

Anyone who expects trouble is massively mistaken. Merseyside will be there as almost one club on the day. No one wants to lose but when the whistle blows for full time I don't know anyone who would raise swords for a fight over this. All we want as Liverpudlians is more of this not less.

I'm not being negative, it's just a thought that popped into my head but given that Spurs or Chelsea await in the final then IF Everton win they'd be in he Europa too next season wouldn't they (assuming Chelsea qualify via the League and don't get pipped by Newcastle which is still possible).

Such a shame how things have gone over recent years. Me family's half blue, me mates are half blue. My first game of football was at Goodison. If I wasn't going away to watch us, I'd go watch them. Ask fellas my age... it wasn't a strange thing to do. I'd go to Goodison, no problem and have a good day out, with good lads. There was a time you fought one of us, you fought the lot. We didn't fight each other. It was us against the rest. Sad how it's gone.

Stick in there lad!

Some seem to think the more you hate Everton the more you must love Liverpool.  Best footy times of my life were during the 80's when the city of Liverpool 'owned' London.  Great times. :D

Things have obviously changed now, doesn't make it right.  I'm sure any scouser on here has mates who are bitters and get along great with them.  Not 'cool' to say that on here though.  Seems like we must copy the mancs and hate each other, not be able to walk down Wembley way together etc cos that makes you a proper red, copying the mancs.

Dickheads on both sides now, sadly.  Average age of them 15, but at least its higher than their IQ.

I have been away for many years and do indeed remember the 80's and trips to wembley and have mates who supported Everton .
When and why is not now so bitter and sour between people who are neighbours ?  surely living together in the same city is a bigger bond than the colors you wear ?

Two juicy semis! (probz could've worded that better)
Nothing beats a Merseyside derby though, even if it is in London, especially with all our remaining ambition for the season depending on the game.

I'll be feeling particularly confident if Agger's back alongside Skrtel.
Can't wait.

I don't need to wait mate. I've got mates in their 60's that have turned crook. It's weird. I used to go the match with these lads. I can't bear to even be in the same pub as them a week before or after a derby. It's not all hands, but it's there. There's no point in thinking it doesn't exist. It does, and it's a shame.

It's on the weekend of the Hillsborough anniversary and people are talking about potential trouble at the game, really?

A merseyside day out in London, let's hope we make it another Wembley trip to remember.
It's true to say that if Shankly had told us to invade Poland we'd be queuing up 10 deep all the way from Anfield to the Pier Head.

Your point is that the derby has changed in the last twenty years though? Well I'm saying no matter what's gone on the last twenty years this will be a throwback. I'm not stupid. I know what some fans are like and I've taken some vile shit from Everton fans but this is not pone of those occasions. Just watch.

Bring it on!

Going to be a strange day with 60,000 football fans leaving Merseyside, while thousands of racegoers arrive.

Only 30,000 from Liverpool though, the other half will be from Norway, don't ya know ? ;)

I think theres an interesting split between the scouse reds and the OOTs on this one....i reckon its the latter who are shouting the odds...
I think it's more of a split between younger and older fans in fairness, with younger ones getting the most wound up.
