even if kenny was sacked or whatever who the hell would trust commolli to appoint a good manager? look what he did at spurs.hes an inept clown.

Geoff serious not what would you make of the form since the turn of the year and how the season has panned out. You can do it in the auld arse thread so I won't have to read this sea of shite, because I'd appreciate an appraisal of the season from someone who  has had alot more experience watching us and what they make out of the season.

Much appreciated in advance.

He said we have done nothing since xmas so he was wrong!

As for you with your Auld guys sea of shite thread , mate we have been there seen more shit than you can handle and still know what the word support means,  look it up when you can get off your xbox !

Wigan?Seriously Wigan?
The most boring side in the league have beaten us at Anfield.
How is this different from Roy vs Blackpool etc?
We are again in dire straits.

Because we're not in the relegation zone and have won out first silverware since 06?

rafa should seriously be considered now
As much as I'd love to see Rafa back, I'd hate to see Kenny go in such circumstances. It not only makes the man look bad, but it makes us look bad as a club too. Kenny needs to be given until the summer. It's as simple as that. After then, it's up to him if he wants to step down or be given the option to make drastic changes. It's obvious the players he's gotten in aren't working out. You can see the style of play is much, much better than any of the shite Hodgson dished out, and anyone who thinks otherwise is a fucking wanker, pardon my tongue. We need more technical players to suit Kenny's style of football.

My son was physically sick when I told him the result today.

This is no exaggeration he actually vomited. He feels ill at the thought of losing to Wigan.

Having listened to it on the radio it is clear we were the better team. We need to convert just one or two chances into goals. The balance is right. Its just the luck and results which are alluding us.

If we had played badly I could have accepted defeat to Wigan with dignity. But playing reasonably well as we appeared to do and it really is literally sickening. :(

Don't be under any illusions, we weren't the better team. After their 2nd, Wigan pretty much bossed the game actually. Before that, we weren't as good; put them under pressure, sure, but their defence was more than a match for our attack.

Anyway fuck it. Good to see Shelvey and of course Sterling coming on. Sterling looks exciting, he didn't have the ball that much but you can see the balance and the speed is there.

Onwards to the Wembley!
only positive from the game. start the lads. suso too! yes I said suso.

Right, I'm seeing alot of Dalgish out posts and then people slating the poster and calling them names.

I'm sorry but people have every right to call for Kenny's head at the moment. end of the day this is not good enough. The only reason im not calling for his head is because apart from Rafa there is no one out there who could replace him. As much as i'd love Rafa back i dont see it happening.

Stop having a go at people who want Kenny gone because the facts are now there to support their cases.

Kenny will always have support, for all he's done for the club at player/manager level and as a custodian of Liverpool - that's not to say you can't question him - he's been out of the managerial role for a few years and has a transient team, there will be highs and lows - I'm not so bothered about today, we shouldn't be losing so many games but generally we've been playing some half decent football this season...

I just hope some of the youngsters get a decent run to the end of the season - I said the same thing last year and we looked like a team - price tags shouldn't justify starting line ups and we've been woefully inadequate at creativity this year - some of the kids look like they have it - see what happens - the league position now doesn't really matter, just the results and how we play and look to move forward - lets hope we can keep our best players and strengthen...

..inadequate in creativity and finishing I might add...

Positives were getting the young lads on. Negatives are pretty obvious for all to see. We're playing like a better arsenal in the opening few months, conceding silly goals and lacking the nuts to hold on to a lead. Fair to say we're missing Agger, Johnson, Kelly, and Lucas defensively today but it stills baffles me to see us giving away stupid goals. I think we need to tighten up a bit all over the shop, I wonder if we're almost taking it for granted that more and more chances will come, that the one happening there and then is not being utilised fully. Lots of question marks, but still positives (as much as my brain is telling me not to see them). Really pleased for Raheem in particular to get his debut he looked really bright when he came on for his debut.

I have to be honest, as great a day out it was at Wembley, if it were say Arsenal in this position we would all be laughing at them suggesting that winning the Carling Cup and doing so badly in the league could be seen as pr*gress. Honestly we've regressed, despite the money spent.

Even more cutting when you think of the start Arsenal had and how they've bounced back while we have well and truly floundered

The Kenny out brigade can fuck off, how can he be blamed for the players ridiculously pathetic attitude, poor ball retention, no desire to win the ball back, lack of invention and ideas in the final third etc. Sure the signings have backfired, but that is NO excuse for the players we already have for not putting a bit of effort in.

For the last 20 years the players have bottled it in the league, only turning up for derbies and matches against the top sides. The manager needs to be backed, the players need to be thoroughly assessed, one-by-one, because they must take some responsibility.

Yeah yeah it will sound negative but spending 100m+ to have a bunch of first 11 players that dont even look like they're trying after going down to a team in the bottom 3 infront of their own fans is just not good enough.

We were "lucky" in the Carling Cup and if we manage to pull off the FA Cup that will probably also be down to our friend "luck" too.

I want to be patient, I really do...I was thinking it will all come good next season, give Kenny another season...be positive! but there are just too many fatal flaws...End of last season was great...we had a system and we got the best out of what we had...but then...

You dont go and spend 16m-20m on a player like Henderson for the future...for that type of money you buy the finished article. Or you do as Wenger does as actually buy someone of real match winning quality like Oxlade Chamberlain who impacts the game.

Everything Kenny did right last season, he has got wrong in his 1st full season...buying a bunch of overpriced, overrated players, and the reward....the lack of motivation I saw today...apart from Suarez yet again it doesn't look like anyone else cares.

The positives...

Shelvey is the player Henderson should have always been. Apart from Gerrard he is the only midfielder who makes any meaningful forward passes and looks like he has the appitite and confidence in his own ability to make something happen.

Sterling looks like he'll contribute more than downing, adam, henderson, carroll combined if he gets the opportunity for the rest of the season....he is the player we have all been crying out for on the wings...good to see him today hopefully he will play in the next game too.

just happened? No! this shit has been going on all season!! we have far too many players that just dont want to play for us but are more than happy to take their pay!
I wish united would hurry up and win more European cups than us. Perhaps then the F.A will stop all their shit decisions against us to keep us out of the top four!!

since christmas we hqve won a trophy, you know the first one in 6 years.

what happened to giving a manager time, escpecially one who has just won us a cup and two games from another cup win.

This sums it up for me.The amount of people looking for him out is disgraceful. And dont shove the 'well if it wasnt kenny wed be asking for him out'

Bar today a lot more positives in kennys reign since hodgsons.Hodgson was never good enough for liverpool.Kenny is.Kenny plays good football(besides today). At times this seaosn we have looked like we could be anyone on our day.Other days we cant beat the bottom team.Kenny knows more about these youngsters and he know everything about Liverpool.Hes good for us.And the team he has at the minute is a transition team.Half the players that start were not hear last year. Some are youngsters and some are over their prime.Theres work to be done but we will get there.

We have just won a trophy and are two games away from another.Thats more than hodgson had going for us.Its more than what has happened for the last 6 years.Thats progress.

I dont care where we finish this year.Since its not 4th and we have europa league its time to focus on the fa cup.Move on and start afresh next year.If we are in teh same situation next year then serious questions will be asked by me about kenny.

We had the overhaul mate. Not gonna be one again. That's why in some aspects this is worse than under Hodgson. You knew once summer came there'd be a lot of new signings. Now we're in pretty much the same position we were in then, without the comfort of knowing a spree is coming up in the summer. Pretty fucked up

The disappointing thing is we didnt even need an overhaul last season. We bought two CM's when it was our strongest position. We needed a LB which we got, we needed 2 wingers (we got 1) and we needed a striker (we got 0). We didnt need any CM's. We really are in a dire situation.

Kenny bought these players and he can't motivate them. I think his position should rightly be questioned at the end of the season.

Spot on the performances in the league are just not acceptable and he should rightfully be questioned on them.

We have far too many players with the mentality of an out and out shitbag.

There's no fight or grit with people like Downing, Henderson, Carroll and Adam. When the shit hits the fan, too many don't want to know.

I can't abide by players not giving 110% for the red shirt - look at the likes of Phil Bardsley - the guy is dogshit, but whatever he obviously lacks in talent - he will more than make up in giving a fuck and putting his body on the line.

I can't honestly believe i've just brought Phil Bardsley into a discussion on RAWK - but that is literally how bad today has made me feel.

Our squad is littered with people who are, on paper, quite good, but are mentally weak - and vice versa.

I don't know where to go from here. I really don't - Sterling looked good, but we should be blooding him in games when we are 3-0 up, not relying on him to drag us out the shit.

Thank christ I have a copius supply of alcohol at home.

For all the good things you could say about Kenny's team and squad there are far more bad. There is no excuse for this. If we don't win the cup you can't really class this as any more than a disastrous season. No fight, passion and hardly a brain cell between them. Love Kenny and always will but I find myself pining for Rafa to come back and insert some kind of discipline and organisation into what looks like a joke of a side at times. Our lack of class in the final third has killed our confidence as the season has progressed and we are awful at the back without Agger. It's plain to see Skrtel is better on the right side and really shouldn't have to move to accomodate Carra whose best days are well behind him.

Kenny and Comolli need to sit down this summer and admit they've got it wrong with several of their big transfers. Bite the bullet and sell these players and replace them with players who are mentally strong, intelligent and have what it takes to play for Liverpool. In my opinion Downing, Carroll and Adam don't have what it takes, Henderson i have hope for. I know Kenny is trying to protect his players but he needs to show more of a ruthless streak and stop referring to bad luck all the time. Losing to QPR and then Wigan at home is just not acceptable, Kenny needs to come out and say this and then do something about it

I'm really getting pissed off with fans who are saying were making progress and we have to wait. how f*cking dumb are they that they don't see were moving further backwards than we have forwards since rafa left?! the carling cup is tinpot, and the way we win it is nothing to be proud of. the fa cup is yet to be seen. but the league is always priority and we are simply diabolical, laughable and an embarrassment to ourselves with the way we play at the moment. sorry, but I'm just trying to be a realist and dalglish has to realise he isn't going to change anything. its time for a complete overhaul yet again...
