Don't panic, we've won the Carling Cup

which is more than your real team has i figure!
Saw Geoff play many times. A classy player, but like most of the team then, as hard as nails. A true team player,  a true Liverpool player, something some of our current players have no idea about.

Kenny has earned one more season to turn things around. But fucking hell he needs to realise what he's doing right now, be it tactics, player selection, motivation is just not working.

And the whole team deserve to be fined a week's wage for that. No fight whatsoever bar Sterling and Shelvey.

Feel for Kenny, he must be beside himself - we're really struggling.

All the faith he showed in his players aswell. Protecting them from the media etc.... And this is how the repay him. They should be fucking ashamed of themselves.

As for our so called leaders on the pitch Carra and Gerrard wtf happened to them today?

Right, I'm seeing alot of Dalgish out posts and then people slating the poster and calling them names.

I'm sorry but people have every right to call for Kenny's head at the moment. end of the day this is not good enough. The only reason im not calling for his head is because apart from Rafa there is no one out there who could replace him. As much as i'd love Rafa back i dont see it happening.

Stop having a go at people who want Kenny gone because the facts are now there to support their cases.

Very disappointing

lets face it Wigan as a club are a league one side at best punching above their weight theyre a team we should be winning in any circumstance but it was the same old story we arent going to put teams away with no goalscorer on the field

but before we make any comments we regret just remember nothing can really be changed til pre season now, the sooner the season ends the better as far as im concerned

do people seriously think we havent made progress since last season?

Yes. We've actually taken a few steps back. This time last season we were one of the in form teams in the league, even had a shout for 4th up until the last few games of the season if I remember rightly.

Now, we're comfortably mid table having regressed this season.

Lack of urgency, no fight, no grit, letting Wigan play, no closing down. Only players who actually had urgency to get the ball back were 2 teenagers who came on as subs.

Kenny's doing it on purpose, he knows that by losing the whoppers will show themselves up on RAWK thus making the mods' job of swinging the ban hammer much easier.

Easily Dirk Kuyt's worst game for Liverpool. Hate to say it but taking wages into account and what they're providing on the pitch, he and Carra should be the 1st ones out of the door in the summer. No one's bigger than the club.

My son was physically sick when I told him the result today.

This is no exaggeration he actually vomited. He feels ill at the thought of losing to Wigan.

Having listened to it on the radio it is clear we were the better team. We need to convert just one or two chances into goals. The balance is right. Its just the luck and results which are alluding us.

If we had played badly I could have accepted defeat to Wigan with dignity. But playing reasonably well as we appeared to do and it really is literally sickening. :(

your son actually threw up, like vomit because you told him wigan beat us?

your need to get him the doctors mate.

Bingo.

It's a bad, bad sign that his injury has been the catalyst for a terrible run of form in the league. Without him we just do not tick.

since christmas we hqve won a trophy, you know the first one in 6 years.

what happened to giving a manager time, escpecially one who has just won us a cup and two games from another cup win.

I am not anti-Kenny by any stretch, and pinpointing how and why it has gone wrong, I just can't explain it. But 8 points from 33, and 6 points clear of Owlface's side in 14th is tough to stomach. I believe a lot of people are going to be held responsible, yes we won a trophy, that being said, we have regressed since the turn of the new year without question.

On the pitch, I'd go as far to say we have regressed. Compare our form towards the end of last season to this season. It's like two completely different teams. Why don't our players press anymore? Why do we play so deep? And why the fuck don't we have players storming the box like last season under Kenny?

Having played the way we did last year under Kenny does give me some hope he can turn it around. But not under these players.

Plus, Sterling should play for the rest of the season. As should Shelvey.

Can i ask, if we wasnt in the semi's of the FA Cup, Winners of the CC final, would FSG of sacked Kenny on the back of that?

Possibily, but we've no way of telling have we as we dont know really know what they're like yet.

Frustrated with Pepe a bit. Not much shots against us this season yet we concede more than enough. Still no penalty saves either.
Yes he usually concedes after terrible defensive mistakes but I want some miracles from him too since the opposing keepers pull them off pretty much every game.

How the fuck can you call that progress?? Suppose your happy with us becoming a mid-table club. This is the exact sort of mentality that will see us keep on going backwards!!

Rafa and Hodgson?

Kenny will always have support, for all he's done for the club at player/manager level and as a custodian of Liverpool - that's not to say you can't question him - he's been out of the managerial role for a few years and has a transient team, there will be highs and lows - I'm not so bothered about today, we shouldn't be losing so many games but generally we've been playing some half decent football this season...

I just hope some of the youngsters get a decent run to the end of the season - I said the same thing last year and we looked like a team - price tags shouldn't justify starting line ups and we've been woefully inadequate at creativity this year - some of the kids look like they have it - see what happens - the league position now doesn't really matter, just the results and how we play and look to move forward - lets hope we can keep our best players and strengthen...

no not if they want the real supporters of this club with them!

I personally think they would of mate. Not that i would of, as i feel alot needs adressing in the summer still and all this stuff about if a player is coming in then he better be a hell of a player because of how the lads have done this season is....bollocks by kenny, love the man but i dont think he really believes that, not in the league anyway.

Anyhow, i'd stick with kenny whether we won the CC or not or got to the Semi's of the FA Cup. However i think FSG would of jibbed him by now if not for the cup form.

I'm not angry, just disappointed. I wasn't shocked by the result today, just kind of resigned to it now.

We've played well in plenty of games this season, but just couldn't put the ball in the back of the net. That has caused a drop in confidence throughout the whole team and now we're poor everything, not just in front of goal.

I remember the game against Sunderland in August - there was so much optimism around the place. And I bet there will be again at the start of next season.

I don't want Kenny to go, but I fear if we finish where we are now (or worse), FSG will make a change.

Sunderland, Everton, Norwich and Swansea are all within three points of us. Six weeks ago the Champions League was a serious possibility, and now I have zero confidence we'll even finish top seven.
