I was shaking with anger after watching that.  I mean WHAT THE FUCK? Even my Dover Athletic supporting mate agreed that the league is bent. I don't know if I can take football seriously any more after watching that. What the fuck does it matter if we've spent a load of money on average players if corruption is running through the game? Why care about Kenny Dalglish and Liverpool Football Club when the game is fixed anyway? Just what's the point?

goodness me the mancs waste a lot of their time pretending to be liverpool fans on forums to wind them up. Though I guess it's no surprise coming from the fans that only every sing about us when they are playing too.

I don't believe in full scale conspiracy bollocks, but after our 1-4 win at their swamp, did Alan Wiley (the referee on that day and the ref who the season after that, whiskey nose labelled him as incompetent[maybe he had the 1-4 in mind] refer another game at OT? He might have, he might haven't (if which is the case, seems dodgy), but something just doesn't add up.
Another thing is, why do all the so called "soft" decision go in their favour? I mean, ALL.

I love the way Jol goes up to carrick at the end asks Carrick who, fair play, admits it, then goes to the ref and says 'he admitted it' The coward ref was just like 'get me the fuck off this pitch'

"That evens out the joke of a penalty that Newcastle got at Old Trafford"

Had to agree with the prick tbf.

What about the pen we should've had against them at St. James? Conveniently forgotten that the manc c*nt.

I can tell you something rushy mate without seeing the game. If Ferguson mentions something about the game, its almost certainly because he wants to deflect the attention from something else in the game, so the handball comment is a diversionary tactic from something. He's a wanker, but a media savvy one.

That is true. Throw in the Newcatle game and the 'these things even themselves out' and you can guarentee that the party line will be towed in the morning. Or maybe "from that angle you can see why he didn't give it".

Still happy for Raymondo to let me know which of our penalties at Old Trafford shouldn't have been given, or which clear ones they were denied against us at Anfield.

No hurry...

Have we ever had a dodgy decision against them?

I remember David Elleray in 99, although they got a pen themselves in that game.

I'm sure we have in the normal rough and tumble of a game but it's difficult to think of an important one like a penalty. There was carra's 'foul' (on the left just outside the box) on owen a couple (?) of seasons ago at anfield - personally i thought owen put his arm on carra first and then carra brought him down, could've gone either way depending how a ref sees it. That's all I got from memory - ain't fucking much, is it?  ;D

Did it remind anyone else of the pen they were given against Spurs in 08/09?  We were in a very similar position to City, going neck and neck at this stage of the season.  Then they get a huge decision from the ref exactly when they need it. :(

How on earth can an ok team like man utd dominate the league for over 20 years?? I believe the reason is there for all to see tonight. They are handed about 12 -15 points a season because of dodgy decisions and its cruel on other teams busting their guts to get results,I certainly wouldn't like to see fulham go down by 1 point or them win the league by the same margin, its not right.

Our great sides of the 70s and 80s couldn't dominate england like this shit man utd team, and they aren't finished yet this could go on for another decade. Yet they have won 2 euro cups in 25 years but dominate england ? Theres something not right

Now that one was a joke, old Howard to the rescue, apologised afterwards - thanks very much you tit. Worst than Oliver's to me cos he bottled it but Webb gave a very poor decision that was even more obvious cos there was no one else around just gomez and the diver.

I remember a few iffy decisions that year (like most years) to be honest its expected now and shows how far other teams have to go to finish above them.

If it wasn't so blatantly obvious it would be a bit funny

Cos they have on average over that period had the best teams - Arsenal and Chelsea have had good teams during that time that have won a few leagues but not consistently, apart from those two no other teams have consistenly put up title challenges. Do they get dodgy decisions more than anyone else - or more importantly at the most opportune time? Probably, but their dominance isn't because of that, part of getting those dodgy pens is due to attacking relentlessly, getting bodies in the box etc. They get the 'luck' but they put themselves in a position to get that 'luck' more than anyone else.

Personally I think City will crash at the Emirates and then the six point gap will render this decision a lot less important. But yeah, bottling from the refs goes on, though I think too much is said about how decisions only affect the title race and not other aspects such as relegation.

Blackpool had a few bad calls go against them last season if I recall, including against City where a point would have ultimately kept them up, and a ridiculous decision against Sheffield United at West Ham to rule out an equaliser a few years ago sent Colin's mob down.

I wouldn't write city off yet and not presume utd are gonna walk through their games - they were at home to a decent side but a side that is usually poor away from home and in the second half utd were walking it without getting the second goal. As soon as fulham have a go near the end utd were all over the place, you could visibly see the nerves in the side - that alone should give encouragement to any teams facing them to have a go and suggests that they are not guaranteed an error free run-in

I still dont understand how its relevant to Liverpool fans ?
But for the sake of discussion, those two points and the like are more likely down to City than to referees at a Utd game.

I have stopped getting pissed off with the decisions they get ever since that moment, it was the final straw for me.

Ever since then its been absolutely no surprise that these decisions have continued to happen and tonight is no exception.
