Anyone else think it must be more than a coincidence that he comes out and says this the day after Messi breaks Barca's all time scoring record?

Only messin, I'll be more than happy if thats the attitude we take into summer though.

That's a lot to deduce from that sentence of Dalglish's, unless that's a preconceived idea of his management. It could alternatively be interpreted as just saying they have not decided on any particular names, yet, or which position(s) to prioritise.

Because buying Adam has been such a huge mistake? He cost £7 million and has contributed 2 goals and 9 assists this season, what is with all the venom being directed at Charlie. Adam, like our season, has been up and down in form one week he is getting sent off at Spurs the next playing a superb cross-field ball to put Johnson through to score against Chelsea. His for has dipped recently but I think he has done alright, not enough to start every game but Lucas and Gerrard have been out we haven't had that much choice.

Nothing has really changed the last few months. We are 3 first class players in the CM, Winger and Striker positions away from getting 4th. If we don't address these areas I can't see us getting anywhere near 4th next year. The other teams will improve aswell and they all have money.

He said he would buy players only if they improved what we already had.

He overhauled the entire squad. I'd suggest not to look too deep into his comments.

Think by now it's straightforward to see how Kenny deals with the press, even for those of us who were not there for his first spell. Posting up his press conferences are a waste of time, he gives nothing away, it's all superficial backing for the players even if he's hung them up by the ankles at Melwood. I'm happy with that. So we've had a lot of problems with the press recently. Sure it's better to be vague than specific and get rollucked for it? So from this my only guess is we'll get two decent signings. Some will be happy some won't, big spoiler there folks. Some will be right about the predictions, some won't.
