The way I saw it, stand off is a 'rare' position - there's a small group of them up at the very top top level, and then the rest. That's maybe not as true of the other positions where there are a few hidden gems floating around (and I'd include scrum half in that).

Yep, i think their are very very few genuinely top class number 10's, top class ones at that. So far we have had Dan Carter, Michael Lynagh, Johnny Wilkinson & Andrew Merhtens picked so not leaving too many. I'm taking mine next after rusty so i'm bound to get 1 of my two i have on my list, either of them with Van Der Westhuizen will do very very nicely indeed.

I sense there’s going to be a lot of parochial voting going on when the time comes. Do you try to pick players from all nationalities to keep the masses on here happy? Or just go with gut instinct and the best XV you can get.

Obviously it should be the latter but we’ve seen in other threads that the Welsh are very sure of their opinions when it comes to rugby!

I'll state that its the best XV and not to take note of nationalities, anyhow some selections may be forced in time so..........
