Whoops!! ;D

Why?

A bit too smash and bash, not enough dynamism. Elsom ran hot and cold.

Kronfeld re-wrote the book for Number 7s

He was a decent player, but rewrote the book? There are older generation picks from these shores who offered the same. Players like that were often overlooked in favour of the more standard set piece fayre some would argue, without *ahem* naming any names. ;D

Kronfeld took Michael Jones' baton and ran with it. I thought that 1995 All Black side took the game to a new level, the first real signs of the professional era effecting the physique and athleticism of players. Different rules and different techniques required for the ruck pre- and post-professionalism and Kronfeld put the blueprint down on how it should be done.

Think he's a great pick, Kronfeld, don't get me wrong. But that side wasn't anywhere near as good as the generation before it for me.

Its all about opinions Hendo.  For a couple of years Kronfeld played 7 for the All Blacks in a way I'd never seen before.  He influenced the game, and the laws of the time, in a way that was unique. He had a massive impact.

Then he joined Leicester.

I went for Contepomi to play inside centre. Always good to have a second kicking option and he should be able to get the pacy men outside him moving.

Got some quality in there no doubt.

The weak points are at 7 and 10.

Was Moody ever a real Openside?. If he was there have been lots better.

Larkham at 10 was great when the Aussies were on song, but for me, at test level when things went against them, he went missing far to often.  He was targeted because he was fragile.
