I have not seen Ramirez play, however judge from his surname, he must be really good. Sign him!
I have seen Gaston Ramirez play...sign him!
Did you watch the last goal Uruguay scored against Peru?
He left Cavani and Eguren facing the peruvian Goalkeeper with a magnificent pass between two peruvian defenders.
Uruguay needs him and Liverpool too.
Buy him!

Hey I would also like to know about David Texeira. We were linked with him some few months ago. Now the rumors have died. Are there any young better strikers from Uruguay than him?

How good would you say he is in comparison to your other compatriots? Potential to be similar level to Suarez?

Gaston is a different kind of player and he has a lot of potential.
You will see that during the  olimpics. :)

So apparently he'll miss the start of the season due to the Olympics?

That was him? Whaauu, that was a superb goal.

So in other news... A reported £15 mill bid for Ramirez. Could suggest admitting defeat for siggy and moving onto target #2. I'd be very happy with Ramirez here. I love the whole uraguyan theme happening at our club! The kid gas got huge potential in my book and would bring a needed spark to our playing style

Twitter is going mental for Ramirez.

Anything solid in the links or are people just shifting targets?

This Gylfi talk is boring now. If he signs he signs. Are we linked with anyone else at the moment?
Suarez posted a pic of him sitting with Ramirez and a few other teammates today..
Surely he & Big Seb have had a word..

Different players. I think we're interested in bringing both Sigurdsson and Ramirez in, and I think both would be quality signings.

But he can play right side if we have inverted wingers Barça style no?

You can put him outwide but id likening it to playing Benayoun on the wing.

Ramirez has looked better when playing through the middle and would suit playing left or right in a 3 man midfield

So they will spend 15mil on Ramirez who you say is target number 2, yet they won't spend more than 8mil on Sigurdsson who they were going after first??? That's a bit weird isn't it? The truth is nobody knows stuff all, I don't believe anything till it's official.

Nope.

The stories of us making a bid coming from Sky Italia are a lie. Hasn't been mentioned on there at all.

Yep, it seems people interpreted 'a big foreign club making an offer' as 100% being Liverpool for some reason.

The story originated from Gazzetta dello sport.. they claimed that Liverpool had
offered £15mill in the open auction and were leading Wolfsburg and another club..

Here's Google Translate's version - relevant bit in bold...
Despite the denials of the affair Bologna Diamonds draws to a close. Tomorrow at 19 the deadline for reaching an agreement on the second half of the card and avoid the bags and the President Guaraldi upped the offer to connect Corioni Brescia, which could make do with 4.6 million compared to the 5 alleged until yesterday. The agreement could be signed today, so you might think with more tranquility to the sale of Gaston Ramirez. The auction is about to leave and after the bids made by Wolfsburg 15 million hours and Malaga in pole position seems to be Liverpool. On the betting now the team manager Marcello Rossoblù Sanfelice will be heard in Rome by the Prosecutor of the FIGC, the hearing originally scheduled for next Tuesday has been brought forward at the request of Bologna to try to close the chapter as quickly as possible. Portanova more likely to be disqualified and all Guaraldi's already taken the captaincy, which could end up on the arm of Gillet if the goalkeeper will not give the court of Turin. Meanwhile, today's agent Portanova, Matthew Materazzi, meet the patron and defender of dg Zanzi to speak but also to Pablo Zeballos, of which he is mediator. Olimpia Asuncion Paraguay striker may reach 2 million and a half. And from South America could get a right-back, the twenty year old Venezuelan Alexander Gonzalez, currently under the Young Boys of Berne.

Regarding the Gaston Ramirez rumors, he told a uruguayan paper last week that "if anything happens, it will be in August". This probably means after the Olympics, so I don't think there'll be any confirmation before that.
