What if it's as you're both entering a public bathroom, would you like a nod and a wink then?
Depends if it ends with violent bumming or nothing, just to clarify I would prefer the latter

Massive attention seeking bellend, given to flights of fancy and wild exagerations about himself and stuff in general. Terrible taste in shoes, clothes and generally he behaved like a twat every chance he got, quite clearly was always pretending he knew more about things than he actually did. Oh and he was totally fucking stupid with it. At first it was fun taking the piss out of what he said, then it became less so as it dawned he was serious about the stupid things he said. Pretty much every thread he would post in would get derailed because people couldnt resist slaughtering him, I was probably the worst offender really because it got to the point where I just couldnt ignore the c*nt and had to say something about the crap he said, it was just too easy, in the end it wasnt even fun, it was sad and boring, because he was just doing it to get attention and a reaction.

Also get confused greeting women. One kiss, two kisses? What is it to be?!

You have no idea what it's like for us on a daily basis! I genuinely have no idea how to greet another woman who is just an acquaintance. A handshake seems wrong and too masculine, a hug or a kiss is too affectionate, sometimes I simply just wave at them from a couple of feet away.

It's so bloody awkward.

Have no problem giving close friends a hug. One of my best friends is half-Italian and is big into them, yet if a gay guy made any sort of move on him he would smash a glass off the floor and prepare for war. But with his friends he always shows his affection with a hug.

Spent a summer in New York as a bus boy clearing tables and doing deliveries, most of my co-workers were Mexican and South American. The waiting staff were all white, pretty much all of them budding actors, some of them gay. So the day I was finishing up and saying goodbye to everyone I shook hands with all the guys in my section, then moved out to the restaurant floor and said goodbye to all of the waiters and waitresses, was saying goodbye to the host who greets and seats people when they arrive, he was a gay guy from Texas with permed hair, we always got on well and he said 'Give me a hug'. I said 'Sure man I'll give you a hug, best of luck', and as we were hugging I caught the eye of one of my Mexican colleagues staring over, if looks could kill I would have been on the floor. Was as if I had betrayed him. Guess man hugs are totally out of line in his culture but I've no problem with them.

Carl says you are only gay if you make meaningful eye contact or stroke their heads while they are blowing you.

Weird. I'm fucking useless in bed but a legend at introducing myself.

 ;D

My eldest son's got a friend with two Mums. Let's not beat around the bush they're lesbians. As is often the way you've got the feminine one and the masculine one. Now the feminine one, no problem, quick hug, get in get out get on with your life. But the butch one - Jesus Christ I almost have a panic attack. I start planning it like a military manoever. Tactical avoidance of contact is the only way I can get through it. I usually manage to have my youngest around, he's two and a half so doesn't need to be picked up, but I keep hold of him in a vice grip and use him as a human shield.

After living in Japan, I came to appreciate the bow. As a greeting, it doesn't get much classier than that.

Swapping swords should never come into the equation.
The Man hug should never be direct but should be off center. It's more shoulder to shoulder than chest to chest which could lead to all kinds of awkward aligning of weaponry.

Regarding girls I'm very methodical. My rules of the road are:
strangers - handshake
good friends - single kiss on the cheek without hug
relatives - double kiss on the cheek (hug optional)
significant other - go in with the teddy bear hug
