Well done to the lad. Although the media and the 'politicians' are highly unlikely to pass comment on this, we know the values that we represent as supporters of Liverpool Football Club and it is actually good to see them praised by someone who actually matters, a player and not a politically motivated no-name.
We remember them with pride
Those mighty reds of Shankly's side
And Kenny's boys of '88
There's never been a side so great

Very nice of him, some justified good words about our football club at a time when it's appreciated most.

This...we could do with all the positive publicity we can get.
those people were scared off by the distress chatter and the organised internet terrorism campaign that was directed against people involved.

Good man Arteta!

Surely, we'll be getting some decent praise from Moyes following the Derby...?

Nice one Mikel, glad you are ok, it looked serious that one. I thought the same thing, great support applauding him for his efforts as he left the pitch on a stretcher with oxygen

Being a Rugby League fan as well as football, there is a culture of applauding players of either team who have to leave the pitch due to an injury.

I am extremely happy that this has generally (always?) proved to be the case at Anfield too.

Too many supporters of other teams get caught up in their own petty hatred of individuals (or just teams) and either ignore or even jeer the player as he leaves.

And thanks to Mikel for having the class to acknowledge the sentiments from all areas of the crowd - Even if he did have to watch it back on TV, as no doubt he can't remember much at all after he went down.
Are we that good on our day, or are the Mags that shit on their bad day.
I imagine a mixture of the two, as well as Coutinho being a fucking absolute shit-kicking, stool sniping, wig wearing, leg bearing, shot blocking, high playing, foot wizarding, fucking bossy boss

Thats class, fair play he didn't have to make a statement. Always had time for Arteta, even though he was a bluenose.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me 'Sir' without adding, 'You're making a scene.'

So many spoiled, arrogant and childish football players tweeting away with 100k weekly salaries nowadays – pleasure to see that there are still some classy players who truly act like gentlemen. Well done, sir!

He donated £2,000 to the Luca Jones foundation too. He's a top lad in general really. Quality from him and my respect for him as definitely doubled. Was always dignified before, too.
