1-2. We deserved three points. A very good performance by us, their goalie and RvP. Thought we were very good in attack. The high press from Suarez and Kuyt was quality, but as always we could not finish. Penalty + rebound, three posts, an empty net for Kelly,... it's unbelievable. RvP had two chances and he scored both. Was disappointed that we didn't make substitutions earlier. Like 20-30 mins earlier. Bellamy and Carroll had no real chance to influence the game. The high press from Kuyt and Suarez, I think Maxi and/or Bellamy could have given us another push. Liked what I saw from Spearing. And as always these days, Skrtel.

Still 10 wins and still 10 more needed for the CL spot. 12 games to go. I think we can forget it now. We are already in Europe so the rest of the season is about the FA Cup and about finding out what players to hold on to. Hope we can keep playing like this (and forget those crosses for an isolated forward) because it's the approach where we play the best football.

I think not playing week in week out doesn't help. And match fitness only happens when you play in games.

actually cant believe my eyes, the team played well and were all over arsenal and just wernt clinical enough, thought subs should have been made around 75 min mark so they have a chance to make an impact, Carroll should have been brought on to roughen up the two centre backs and bellamy to do his magic.

Charlie Adam decision making is horrible at times, for example the chance were henderson was bombing right down the middle and Charlie decides the run instead of pass?! really? Dont really know why we have him, and IF (a big IF) we make champions league how do you think he will play then? he'll get torn to shreds by european football, just not quick enough.

Set pieces, same old same old!

and our nemises this season. . . the woodwork.

oh well no point complaining not like it'll make a difference..

I agree totally with this, but only until we can sign a new striker in the summer. There's only so far you get climb up the league without a regular scorer and it doesn't stretch to fourth.

I thought Henderson was pretty good today. Adam wasn't at the races at all however and Kelly didn't have his best game - wayward passing at crucial times, and 1 r 2 chances going astray in their box. Carra? He just worries me now and I think everyone around him is starting to get edgy too. Skrtel was fantastic again but it's clear we're so much weaker without Agger.

Do we really expect to be in the Champions League next season when we are so inefficient in front of goal??? The man that was our undoing today has scored more goals in all competitions then we have as a team in the league all season...I honestly thought we played some fantastic 1 touch football today, particularly in the first half.
We went pure dead after the delay with Arteta's injury, left it too late to bring in Bellamy or Carroll...13 corners we had and Carroll wasn't on the pitch to challenge for them (I did think Kuyt and Suarez worked well today though).
Our home league form is just becoming far too frustrating, all the play but no end product...This isn't a knee jerk reaction to this game, but throughout the year, we really have to look at getting a player who offers nothing else but being a goalscorer. We've been saying all year that we are going to click one day and the goals flow. It happened against Brighton but they had to stick 3 of em. Is it going to happen in the league for us though??

They were shite, and we should of been out of sight first half.

Charlie Adam had his regular 20min drop off in the second half. Thought spearing was good though.

Carra made two mistakes and let RVP get the better of him for both goals.

We don't get enough men in the box, there's too much of a disconnect between midfield and the forwards we need to capitalise on the panic caused by Suarez or when balls come in from wide.
oh and we really need to work on peno's.

Lowest conversion rate in the Prem and this game confirmed why. All that possession and yet you just knew we'd mess up again. Typical! Worse player today was Kelly I thought. Defended decently but gave the ball away a lot. I credit RVP with the victory to Arsenal, a truly clinical striker. Great goal! Arsenal want 4th, but is anything likely to change if they get it? Kenny found wanting tactically. Bellamy should have come on earlier and players like Kuyt should really do better after Sundays heroics. 4th gone? I'm not sure yet. Arsenal will slip again. we were still creating chances , all game . didn't want to upset the flow and still felt we'd score towards the end .
