Most people in this world are tits. The fact they have an allegiance with Liverpool Football Club doesn't change that.

Really don't think rafa will go to Chelsea. I get the impression rafa likes to have a lot of control of all areas of the football club, something he will never get at chelsea

Hope he doesn't go there.

He's already had to deal with interfering owners sabotaging his plans, and I can't imagine he's naive enough to see anything different at Chelsea. He'd also be completely unappreciated by their plastic fans, getting on his back after any negative result, purely because he's not Jose Mourinho.

If he does go I won't blame him. If Madrid don't come knowing in the summer.

He would know what he's getting into and wouldn't be arsed when he's only given 5 months then sacked.  The man has a foundation to support you know and this would keep it going for quite some time.  Would also allow him to wait until Kenny retires in 15+ years and continue the legacy.

Rafa is too smart to go to that shithouse of a club. He likes control and won't get it with the egos in that dressing room and the constant interference from the russian.
If he retires I'll eat my fucking cock.

Hell.

No manager at Chelsea is ever guaranteed at least a year to get things the way he wants them to be.
The ghost of Mourinho is still present at Chelsea, and we know what effect that had during Rafa's time at Inter.
The system Luís André de Pina Cabral e Villas-Boas tried to employ was similar to the one Rafa likes to play (high pressing etc), and Chelsea players had enough power to veto their manager and resist adapting to the new system.
Benitez has talked about going to a club where there is a "project" to build. Chelsea is anything but a project.
The fans don't want him (maybe because they're still angry he beat their special one 3 times in cup competitions whilst he was our manager)

Not worth it for Rafa

Pretty much this.
Rafa Benitez: "I'll always keep in my heart the good times I've had here, the strong and loyal support of the fans in the tough times and the love from Liverpool. I have no words to thank you enough for all these years and I am very proud to say that I was your manager. Thank you so much once more and always remember: You'll never walk alone."

Rafa should throw his hat in the ring for England - would make us into a strong side seriously capable of winning the Euros/World Cup...then come back to us after kenny

That's actually not a bad idea...  but the press would have a field day.

Hell.

Not worth it for Rafa

That's a neat summary of exactly why Rafa shouldn't take the Chelsea job.

I think he'll go to RM if there's an offer, even though I don't think that's a particularly good choice either.

Having a go in Jose's sloppy seconds...again.  Horrible.  Although if Rafa is/was a Real Madrid fan then I guess he wouldn't say no.  Don't think he'd last a full season there though

That's the thing Rafa (IF POSSIBLE) should avoid a club where Mourinho has been. Mourinho seems to create player cliques wherever he goes. Which may be one reason h doesn't stay long.

Rafa wants to stay in England though, and there aren't many clubs that are set up for his 'project' let alone worthy of him.
Goodbye & thank you Rafa. You've given us more than we ever had a right to expect from you and you stayed loyal and fought for us even when some of our own turned on you. I truly hope that you find somewhere with the support that you deserve & win everything in sight.

I'd prefer Rafa go to Arsenal or Spurs. Chelsea would not appreciate him at all, besides they're a plastic club.

They would appreciate him if he brings them success.

I understand your not liking Londoners, they do seem less patient and less authentic.
I just think the management structures at Arsenal and Spurs would suit him. Spurs have a decent base that Rafa could build on and If he could quickly win a cup at Spurs I think that would convert the fans instantly and give him time to make them European giants.
The biggest problem with Arsenal and Spurs is the fans aren't prepared to watch their team defend a lead.

He wont go chelsea.  I dont think he would go to any club that liverpool has bad blood with as i dont think he would want to risk burning bridges with the liverpool supporters.

'arry will take the england job and rafa will step in at spurs.  Unless mourinho goes to spurs, then i think rafa will go to madrid.

Hiddink will be next permanent chelsea manager

Kenny is a good manager and its more to do with sentimentally. He did do something in his first full season back that Rafa didn't do in his last 4 full seasons with us.

Jesus are you telling me a League Cup is better than a title challange, a Cl final and two european semi's? Perhaps winning the intertoto will be consider better as it's silverware?

Kenny will be best judged next season, once the buys have more Liverpool experience.
Why are you looking past this season?
