http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/liverpool/9067631/Manchester-United-fans-ready-to-ratchet-up-the-abuse-for-Luis-Suarez-and-Liverpool.html

Nice to see newspapers eagerly justifying the abuse Suarez is going to get while at the same time demonizing Liverpool fans for booing Evra and 'failing' to report songs by Manchester United fans at Anfield.

It's all so very convinient isn't it.

Eat my shorts, Suarez will massacre them.

Oh noes! It sounds like the mancs will be singing nasty things to us on Saturday. That will be a shame.

But Gerrard is also short of fitness as well. If you bring him on late, his main supplier of chances would also be flagging by then.

I say, take the bull by its horns. In fact, like one poster said, make Suarez acting captain for the day to show our support for him and to make clear to United that we are supporting him 100% and will not allow them to bully him nor us...Suarez should shake Evra's hand but stare at him implacably like boxers do when they face each other at the weighing in - promising the torment that he will cause him during the match...

Gerrard has played alot of football lately, i dont think he lacks match fitness.....it was only the Wolves game he missed....

I think we've shown we have supported Suarez enough....and we have stood by him. We dont need to make any other grand gestures.

I understand the sentiment behind people saying we shouldn't play Suarez, and it is a bit of a risk to play him. But if we don't start him, I can't help thinking that the Mancs have got what they wanted. They did this whole fucking thing to keep one of our best players out, so it's playing into their hands to leave Suarez at home.

Suarez plays. He wants to play and to keep him out means that ferguson has got what he wanted. Suarez wants and needs to play and any animosity from the crowd will be nothing to playing in South America.

He can handle it and destroy them.

LIVERPOOL'S LUIS SUAREZ SAYS ANY ABUSE AT OLD TRAFFORD SHOWDOWN WILL SPUR HIM ON

Irish independent, February 08 2012

LIVERPOOL striker Luis Suarez says Patrice Evra race row "should have stayed on the pitch" and insists taunting by Manchester United fans will backfire.

The Liverpool striker offered no apology to Evra after he was found guilty of racial abuse during a match at Anfield in October.

Having served the subsequent eight-match ban, Suarez claims he has now moved on from the incident and is ready to use any abuse he receives from the United faithful as motivation during the Premier League clash this weekend.

In an interview with Uruguay's Radio Sport 890 he said: "I was not depressed at all [during suspension]. I knew what I did and there is a kind of football law that says 'what happens on the pitch, stays on the pitch and that's the end of the story'."

"I know against Manchester United it is going to be tense because I'm going to face Evra. But I'm used to having fans whistle at me.

"I hope nothing unusual happens. I'll have to forget what happened for that moment.

"I do know United fans are going to try to make me feel uncomfortable. But I have to tell them – they are going to spur me on if they whistle at me."

Show Racism the Red Card chief executive Ged Grebby has suggested Suarez only has himself to blame if he is given a hostile reception at Old Trafford.

Grebby hopes Manchester United's support will choose to take the moral high ground and help everyone to move on from the Uruguayan’s racist abuse of Patrice Evra during their Premier League match at Anfield in October.

"It's important we move on because this has been going on for months now," Grebby said.

"I hope Manchester United fans take the moral high ground and they don't boo Suarez, but as an anti-racism campaigner I can understand why they might.

"He made things much worse by the reaction he had [to the FA charge]. If his reaction to it had been, 'I hold my hands up, I said it. I didn't realise it was wrong, but I do now', this whole thing would not have exploded like it has done.

"He should have held his hands up, he didn't do himself any favours refusing to accept he had done anything wrong. I just hope he has learned from it."

If there's even a smidge of justice left in the world... poetic or otherwise... we'll hammer them. Suarez hat-trick and Evra OG and sending off.

Why should we not play him there? I think he's exactly the kind of character that will get spured on with all the abuse. There are still officials who will protect him to get murdered from the c*nt's playing for this horrible club and more important, we have players like Skrtel, Agger, Bellamy, Adam...who will step in for him and protect him if needed.

Had he not been accused of calling Evra a n*gger ten times and had that not been broadcast around the world via French TV, an allegation that was categorically untrue, and actually constituted a criminal offence, there would probably have been scope for that.

As it was, this led to the stitch up, because the club (and player) felt compelled to clear his name, only to find the entire process arranged to exculpate Evra for his initial (false and untrue) claims made on French TV, and indict Suarez in as pure a Kangaroo court style as you'll ever see.

Ged Grebby is just going with the consensus on that.
