Johnson was brilliant. Has he ever had a bad game as left back?

Why did we only get 4 minutes added time?

Parker and Bale were down for longer than that alone.

Referee was a disgrace second half. Parker should not have been on the field. Clattered Johnson then got booked on Gerard and then second half in our build up caught spearing.

Soooooo frustrating. Didn't play badly just poor in that final third ..making it count....seeing Bellamy Luis Gerrard and Carroll out there all together does give me hope for more optimistic results in future. A bit more time together...

That Scott Parker was fucking amazing.

Was he, was he really? A couple of interceptions in injury time does not make man of the match.

What are we missing?

What type of player?

Why do we continually recycle the ball back when we are in dangerous positions?

Our crossing was awful tonight?

Because our midfield isnt good enough.
Its not strong enough to leave and attack and does not have enough guile to provide a killer ball.

A bit of a boring game for me. Spurs didn't really do anything and we didn't have the cutting edge to score. It was one of those games when Spurs could have nicked it but the best they deserved was a 0-0 draw.

Fair result, we didn't do enough to win the game and Spurs defended anything we did do well.
I can't help but keep looking back at the summer and wondering why we brought Downing to the club, if we had invested in the right player, one that can play that final ball we are lacking we wouldn't be where we are now.

Bale is a cheating bastard

So much for spurs being a attacking team. 10 men behind the ball for most of the game.

Ref was brilliant. Any of the other fucking c*nt refs would have probably ended up sending Skrtel off, over reacting on Suarez' kick, not saw Bales shit dive...

Main concern is Andy Carroll.

The big man is starting to win headers. Yet nobody was anywhere near him so basically he fought all night for no particular reason.

So you're not concered with Andy Carroll at all then.

Reminded me a bit of the Man Utd game in the FA Cup. We had lot of the ball, but didn't look like scoring. Only difference that day was both wanted the victory. Spurs just sat back today. They played for the point.

I'm sorry but one of our biggest problems tonight was the crowd. Was there anybody at the fucking game tonight ? Absolutely fucking pathetic. I can't actually believe after knowing how big a part the crowd can make at anfield there is barely a whisper in a massive game like this. Pure shite.

Skrtel flew into his last challenge. Won it cleanly and clearly yes, but with one feet off the ground. I'm surprised he didn't get a red with the current climate on reds that is.

Suarez had the chance, Carroll had the chance but once again our finishing is poor again.
Towards the end of second half when we put the pressure on it was there for the taking. Spurs were tired and just defended but we couldnt break them down.
Kuyt was good at defending yet so poor in his touches and attacking play, so many times it broke down when it went to him. Carroll overall had another good game. Bellamy was shut down by impressive Walker. Johnson on the right was defensively sound but offered nothing going forward. Many times Gerrard made runs into the box only to find the ball not coming to him. Adam was bit more disciplined yet offered nothing, should have had hendo for him.
The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark.

Ridiculously wasteful, lots of effort. Frustrating. Was disappointed we went 4-4-2, I liked the idea of Bellamy and Suarez buzzing around Carroll. Downing offered nothing, just doesn't impose himself. Obvious where we need to improve, we've been here before this season. No shortage of spirit there, though, which is something to build on.

I've watched that foul on Carroll in the last minute about 50 times and can't see how it was a foul unless it was given for letting king hold his arm. I'm gutted. We should have won. They are a horrible team. Parker did so many bad tackles and bale dives so much. And Dawson and king were all over carrol every time the ball was played in. But it isn't good enough. We need to put the ball in the net.

yeah there was an incident at the start of the second half, Carroll surrounded by five Spurs players, and they even let him jump in the air alone. Why do we insist on playing the long ball to him when there is nobody there to help me boggles my mind to be honest.

can we learn to play a brand of football that isn't grounded in crossing?

Doesn't mean we shouldn't improve our crossing. Agree with Zaffarious that its an area of the game we need to improve and frustrates the hell out of me when we can't get it pasty the first opposition shirt.

Far from a boriung game though - whoever said that. Both teams played well. Both had chances to win it.

I thought the ref was Ok - apart from the Skertyl booking.

referee was shit. we made scott parker man of the match because our final ball couldn't clear the first man.

so frustrating. we still don't have a way of creating chances against teams set up to defend.

Parker is an absolute twunt and a twunt who I would take on my team any day of the week. Great player.

We should have won but cant score goals...rinse and repeat.

Stevie looked strong after his rest. Carroll was good again and the defense kept them stum for most of the night. But..GOOOAAAALLLSSSS :(

looked more threatening than they did, but few chances. Was one clear cut one for both (Suarez and Bale).

It's not the end of the world. Had we beat Norwich, Blackburn etc and drew this it would look a better point.
