Great performance and togetherness and I am made up for Bellamy, he deserved that goal all night. Could have scored more easily if it wasnt for Joe Hart being a top quality keeper.

Re red card, after witnessing Kewell's red card at the world cup (http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xdqtdy_harry-kewell-s-red-card-position-gh_sport), I came to the believe that any time your hands are away from your body in the box is a potential penalty. Probably lucky he didnt get a caution if this is any precedent to be honest.

Still buzzing. Can't get over just how good Bellamy is. Seems to get better with age and Luis is on his way back in a few weeks.

The planets are almost in alignment ladies and gents.

Anyone else still fucking buzzing after that? I know its "only the carling cup" but i don't give a fuck, any chance we can get to win a cup is fucking quality, cardiff ain't a bad side so should be a tough game

It's great with a chance at a trophy. Many like to downgrade the League Cup, but I'd rather win it than not. We need to create a winning mentality and a winning habit. The League Cup is a good place to start and then we'll take it from there. If anything, the experience of playing in a Final will do many of our players a lot of good for the future. Should they get to lift the trophy, they'll remember it forever, they'll know it's possible and they'll want to repeat it. Can only be a good thing.

This. Plus a whole generation of support haven't been to Wembley (including me), it's good to get that off our shoulders.

Fantastic result.  Made up to be going back to Wembley.

They showed from the first whistle to the last that they wanted it more than City - much more.  That was what pleased me most of all.

Didn't post last night as i was twatted after the game!

What a superb performance. No one played badly, it really was the response that I'd hoped for after the weekend. If id hadn't been for the (frankly fucking amazing) Joe Hart, this tie would have been well over and we'd have smashed them. Movement was good, both with and without the ball, creative, looked solid in defence, the only thing that let down a little at times was wayward pasing, but that'll get sorted out with confidence.

Craig Bellamy. So deserving motm for me, and he had to have been good to beat hart to that honour. Fucking brilliant, never ever stopped running for the cause.

Brilliant from everyone, and brilliant from the fans too!

My two pennies worth on the penno decisions
I watched it on tv so may have looked different at the game itself but as i saw it
The city one as it happened i didnt even notice Dzeko go over, just thought it was a decent challenge in the box and that Adam had got the ball. None of the commentaters SKY, BBC or LFCTV picked up on it and called for a pen until we had a super slow motion action reply of the incident where the challenge looks pretty bad and a nailed on pen, but watch it again at normal speed and it looks nothing like one.
Same goes for our pen, it happened so quickly all i saw was Agger shoot goalwards and the ball hitting hands and i was screaming penalty at the tv, all tv commentaters on the different channels called it a pen, until the super slo mo replay showed it had hit the lads leg first before bouncing up into his hand, then they all said it was a harsh decision.
Watch it again at full speed and it looks a pen every time.
The ref didnt have the option of these replays and called it as he saw it. Sometimes it goes your way sometimes it doesnt and the way we played we certainly deserved the luck yesterday.
Well played Liverpool it was a great performance by all
Cant wait to see Kenny back at Wembley :-)

Bellamy you are a fucking legend, I love you're fucking grit, you're fucking fight, you're fucking passion for this club. I'm just getting home from an all nighter and I just couldn't help show my love for you in these tricky times for the club. You have shone like a star while we have been missing 2 of our most important players in Lucas and Suarez. Credit to the rest of the team for a fabulous performance and thank you for wembley this season. Kenny I love you too xx

Mind you it was 10 v 10 as Barry was sh1te for them, why we courted him when we had Alonso only Rafa knows

Great stuff. Wasnt too excited before the game as I posted here, but no doubt that its given evevryone a lift.

Thought our new signings stepped it up. Adam, Downing and Henderson had their best games for a while. Enrique was back to his solid self.

Delighted for Kenny. Cant belive the stick he's gotten over the last few days. The media were baying for blood. Fucking c*nts. They'll be back out in force if we lose on Saturday.

Still buzzing here.

Thought that was an excellent performance from all the players involved. We really went after them, closing them down quickly all over the pitch and if not for Hart could have scored 4 or 5.

Bellamy was immense and not just for his goal,it was like watching Rush harrying their defenders all night.

Best we've seen for a while from Dirk too,we look a much better team when we are trying to regain possession so far up the pitch.

Tough to single out individuals though, they all did so well against a very good side.
Suddenly I turned around and she was standin' there
With silver bracelets on her wrists and flowers in her hair
She walked up to me so gracefully and took my crown of thorns
"Come in", She said, "I'll give you shelter from the storm"

I wish.

Gary Mac said there were no passengers last night.

Team should get the credit.

Good set up by KD and SC. Cannot believe some of the tabloid rubbish were trying to put pressure on Kenny's job. Ludicrous - as StevieG said.

To be fair, Barry's job, as pointed out by Peter Hooten on Twitter, is to get the ball to Silva asap. He does a very good job of that.
As for Henderson, the lads full of beans and he'll learn.
And, just enjoy it ffs.

Apart from hussle and harry all night long. As well as pass and move and make himself available to receive the ball.

GaryMac said there were no passengers.

Give the lad credit. He did a good job and also was clever in running the ball into the corner to run the clock down.

As or the pen-

You have your arms up round your head in the area, blocking a shot and you shouldnt be surprised if its a penalty. Doesnt matter if it hit his leg first- if Micah's arms werent up there the ball wouldnt have hit them?

Seen pen's given for Adams kicking Dzeko's leg too, so we may have got a touch lucky there.

Saying that it was a great team performance, even those that didnt shine individualy put a cracking shift in. Even Downing didnt do too badly and put a shift in

They cant help themselves mate. Even after getting to our first Wembley final since the 90's some blerts on here still think its 'ace' to take the piss out of some our players. Just wait til Kenny picks his team for the final. The amount of dummies that will get spat out  because 'x, y or z' player isnt starting will be hilarious.

Ferguson has probably told Moyes that he will be his recommendation to take over.

Shows how much you know about football.

Henderson was very good and Barry was arguably City's best play last night(Joe Hart aside)

Agreed, i still feel Hendo doesn't contribute enough...maybe not playing in a roll he prefers?  :-\

i think Stevie shut Barry up with that first tackle,   8) lol......was nervous knowing Stevie on a yellow so early, not having him for the Mancs would have been a disaster.
