He's basically Simon Geoghegan but for football. One for the older Irish lads there.

Ah yes...a kick up the line over the full-back's head and then a sprint up the wing like a maniac with the blond hair swishing about all over the shop...but in the end he doesn't get there and instead ends up bundling the full-back into touch before jogging back into position having given the ladies in the crowd a wee moment to remember on the way home.

Asked Marcotti what he thought of the report:

@Marcotti Anything in these Tuttosport reports of an offer of a loan for Krasic by LFC, or just Juve drumming up some business?

Gabriele Marcotti Gabriele Marcotti @Marcotti
I'd imagine Juve drumming up business. But I'd imagine he's available if LFC want him on loan.

Get him. Loan option would be brilliant as has time to prove himself before we buy him outrightly. Definately better than what we already have on the wings so it would be no loss.
If he retires I'll eat my fucking cock.

Get this deal done so we have a another way of getting the ball into the box where 5 opposition defenders can play eeny-meeny-miny-moe over who gets to clear it while no Liverpool player is even close.

I have one of those nebulous 'intangibles' against this move: Krasic appears to be of 'weak spirit'. If you thought Meireles was a 'shithouse' then Krasic would look like a  . . . "shit-mansion" or "shit-compound" to you.

Talented player, with lots of pace and a bit of inventiveness, but he doesn't seem like a 'strong character'. He's liable to crumble under the physical AND emotional pressures of the English league.

Would definitely be an upgrade on our right side (Lord knows we need it... Dirky bless his socks just doesn't have it anymore). If he could work hard consistently and re-capture previously seen form he'd be quite an asset.

But sadly, I feel this will never happen. And what's more I don't think we'll sign anyone this window, either  :(

Not been that impressed with him most of the times I've seen him play but would be hard to argue with a loan deal to suss out his suitability to the Premier League.
With his apparent refusal to play Maxi, I'd hope that Kenny has something planned for the right side because it's fucking woeful unless Bellamy is there and even then it's not ideal

AS much as i'd like us to sign a pacy, skillful wide player, I just don't think Krasic would thrive in the Premier League. He would soon start to go missing imo.

Can understand the club wanting to loan him before buying to see if he can cut it but for me he dosen't have the nerve to play in this league.

Actually Krasic is nowhere like Benayoun! He plays on the wing, is very direct, fast, powerful. Like Benayoun, he can score. The problem is, he needs to be the focal point of a team's play.

It's fun watching Krasic clips on youtube.

In this one, he makes a silly billy out of Skrtel and Arshavin against Zenit amongst other feats.

Actually he is a lot like Benayoun.  He's not a winger in the sense that he'll hug the sideline and whip in crosses, he's more of a winger like Benayoun or Babel was, or even his current teammate Simone Pepe is.  He likes to play out on the sides but cuts in more and more directly the further down the pitch he goes.  Wouldn't mind seeing him here though

Yes please, had a great season last year with juve where he was there best player. He is direct, good passer of the ball but more importantly a match winner something we lack outside of gerrard, bellamy and suarez for me.

Incorrect. As a major Juve fan, he was great for about 2 months until he hit a wall. Everyone could read his game to a T and he became ineffective. Now under Conte, Juve are playing a 4-3-3 leaving no room for a touchline winger. He hasn't played in months (apart from last weekend, where he was absolute dog shit). It would take a while to get his match fitness and confidence back.

Well, he's not assumed to be woeful. Its blatantly obvious if you watch him recently. The man has lost all confidence in himself. He was unleashed into the box last weekend, and all alone he sprayed his shot 5 yards wide of the net.

Not sure about his lack of character.
Saw him playing in this match, awful conditions and he played his heart out for Juve when others clearly did not want to be there.

He is worth a punt on loan, been impressed with when I have seen him, looks like he needs a new start somewhere.

Maybe another winger is free at Juve?

Jen Chang Jen Chang @JenChang88
Juventus team website says Elia is injured & hence not in squad, player insists he's not ... RT @ELJERO17ELIA: i am not injured i am fit

Maybe Krasic is back in the picture?

Krasic and Elia are inrelated. Elia fucked up, went against the club in public and Conte has kindly told him to fuck off. Attitude and work ethic is something that goes above all else and Elia wasn't willing to accept playing second fiddle, went public saying Juve weren't working in his best interests and has since been shown the door.

As for Krasic coming, I'd love him here personally. For my money he'd be the closest equivelant of Riera's role in the 08/09 season rather than Benayoun, but obviously with more pace than Riera. I still think Krasic is a better player but in terms of what he'd bring the squad he's roughly the same. Inconsistency aside, he offers something no one else has in width, directness, shooting and being an old school winger. But I also think he'd thrive under our current circumstances. For Conte, being asked to track back and work for 90 minutes in the hope that someone else gets all the glory not so much. But in a team where no one has the balls to step up and would constantly look to him to save the day. He could have a Suarez-esque impact on our team.

so we play against the lower end opposition and he can be a flat-track bully - we need a flat track bully that can steamroller the 9 behind the ball sides that park it against us, particularly at home

plus playing at home most players are fine

if he's not going to be a big game player we have kuyt for that against the contenders for the top 4
