This is the email response I have received!

Thank you for contacting me about the Kevin Williams case and the Hillsborough disaster.

Hillsborough was a terrible tragedy - a tragedy that must never be repeated. The pain of this horrendous day still lives on right across the United Kingdom. As the Bishop of Liverpool has said, the disaster and its aftermath inflicted a deep wound in the body of the Merseyside community which remains to this day.

The victims of this terrible tragedy, including Kevin Williams, should not and will not be forgotten. 96 people lost their lives on this terrible day and I believe that their families deserve the truth.

I cannot comment on individual cases; however I can assure you that I am aware that the Attorney General, Dominic Grieve QC MP, is looking at the applications made to his predecessors, to determine whether in his view, the evidence available supports an application to the Court for a new inquest.

Thank you again for taking the time to contact me.

Have they made a decision on this yet. My MP is a Tory c*nt and got a feeling I could be on his spam list as he hasn't answered me since they wormed their way into power with their "natural allies" the lib-dems. Not getting into politics but I don't think even Liberals will vote for the power hungry c*nts again.
If the decision is still to be made then I'll make a new email account and fire off some emails.

Edit - sent an email to the ignorant bastard anyway, hopefully its never to late. Doubt he'll reply, no elections anytime soon.

The current position, Mccred, (so far as we are aware) is that the Attorney General is looking at all the past dealings in Kevin's case to see if there are grounds for opening a new inquest.  How many people will be involved in this is not known (since presumably he will be using his own staff and also seeking advice from outside legal experts), neither is it known how long this process will take.   :wave

Thanks for the reply Maggie May, perhaps a new debate won't be needed? I don't understand the laws and protocols involved. I wrote to my Tory MP and got the reply that I expected, couldn't separate the debate in February from what Ann Williams is asking for. Probably down to pure ignorance, gave him a link to buy her book, which no doubt he can claim back on his expenses.
Really tried to explain why Ann's case is different but fell on deaf ears. Find hard writing to people like him about Hillsborough, as a witness and as a consequence a victim, hiding my over riding emotion is hard, which is raw anger.
Don't know how to do a snap shot of my email page, so this is a notepad copy and paste.

Dear Mr McC,

I appreciate the strength of your feelings about this matter, but it was the sheer volume of names added to Mrs Williams petition that has already allowed a debate in the House which took place back in February. I doubt if there is any chance of securing another Parliamentary event so soon.

With best wishes

Ian Liddell-Grainger MP

Think that makes the Tories stance fairly clear, sent him back a long email detailing why Ann and Kevin Williams is a separate issue, being as polite as I could, explaining about the cut off time and how there is strong evidence that young Kevin asked for his mum at around 3.45 and the issue isn't disclosure but that the first inquest was flawed for all the reason that we know.
Ann has my undying respect, dealing with these people for 23 years and keeping her dignity. Today I've had my usual tears when trying to write about it, don't know how she's kept going!

I can't see any chance of a further debate now after the February one, so it rests with the Attorney General's investigations into whether or not Kevin's case was heard properly or whether there is a defect of such seriousness as to warrant a further inquest.  I know Anne has fresh evidence that Kevin was alive after the cut off time, but I don't know how (or if) this impacts on what the AG is presently doing.

May I respectfully suggest it may help you personally if you were to consider posting your own feelings on the Survivors thread.   :wave

Thanks Maggie, I think I'll take up your advice. The anger I feel at the moment isn't helping me or family around me who don't really understand where its coming from.
