Wigan by far the better team and we offered nothing up in attack at all.  Personally I think it may do us the world of good.  Too many "fans" expect Saints to win everything like its a god given right.  Some hard graft and decent work is needed to get anywhere.  Seemed a real lack of passion and intensity from the Saints and Wigan looked like they didnt even need to get out of 2nd gear all game.

Saints havent even sold all their allocation.

Or at least they hadnt yesterday

 ::)

Well no shit? I wonder why!! Fucking pathetic sequence of events. Oh and Wigan didnt sell their 'allocation' either did they? .... fuck me a wedding booked in the north stand on challenge cup quarter-final weekend, nice to be organised innit?  :lmao

The RFL should have grown a pair and told the pie-eating twats they have to play elsewhere whilst they are bending over for Dave Whelan the stupid old (unt

Anyway, rant over .... best team won ... Saints are not clinical enough with possession and territory added to Wigan having a very good solid defence.
If Kenny Dalglish cannot influence the team to play with more pride in their shirts for the millions of fans they represent, then what chance does anyone else have?

Wasnt surprised by the lack of seats all around the stadium if Im honest.  The atmosphere and the game itself all seemed a little flat.  One of the worst derby games Iv seen.  It felt like a friendly for half of the match

Saints have too many plodders in the pack and no quality in the halves. Has to be said that the signings made by Saints in the last 2 years are all very poor.

Problem with Saints is, were missing leaders like Cunningham, Graham, Long, Saints looked clueless in attack, as a few times we had possesion near the Wigan line but did nothing with it, when 3 or 4 years ago Saints would have scored at least couple of Tries.

There are 3 problems imo.

1. There isn't a half back playing in either the 6 or 7 shirt.
2. The pack are a soft touch and have zero aggression.
3. There is a severe lack of pace in the team, in fact, there isn't any.

Wigan in dominating Saints shocker  ;)

I thought it was pretty sad that i was confident Saints wouldnt score on our line, there was just no threat at all out wide. Poor derby in all, but I dont care, we're through  ;D

There hasn't been any pace for a couple of years, which is worrying, but yep lack of a decent half back, plus poor tactics & kicking, Saints are renowned for playing some plays, off the cuff, which has hardly happened the last couple of years.

That even the Stadium is not finished sums up Saints at the mo.

It has to be said that this is a very average Saints side. Nathan Brown has his work cut out for him.

Was thinking about the half backs. Is Lance the worst 6 since Tommy Frodsham. Better against Leeds, but I can't see him troubling the pies, unless we suddenly start making loads of breaks

There is another option. Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple.

Wigan doing very well, the game against Huddersfield last week was supremely controlled, defence is the best in the league and they should be doing the double this season.

From what ive seen from the 3 derby games, they seem to have very poor forwards, there was just no go forward at all coupled with the fact that i did see Saints actually win a collision in the tackle. Puletua and Roby are the only forwards that would get into the Wigan squad, nevermind team.

Also a lack of direction in the halfs, Hohaia is dreadful, he wasnt even in NZ Warriors first team last year. Also your stifling Lomax in the halfs, for me his best position would be full back, replacing slug. He could be dynamite in the same role that Sam plays for us

True, but same again will see us at OT. Wouldn't be surprised to see Leeds repeat the CC semi performance.

On a different note, glad to see RL having some bollocks and giving Mcillorum 3 games, despite gobshite Wane protesting all over the media

Now, Roby for Man of Steel.......
