Ticket prices alone for these games are usually a few hundred $ I think.

Wonder if the games will be on the lfctv channel, I can't afford to get over, would be a great experience though.

Shitty seats for 50 bucks would do. I'm sure there'd be chance to move. I'd be be paying for at least 4 people so have to keep the cost down best as possible.

Only about 2 hours or so from me, generally make it out to a game or two a year there (will be going May 27 this year at least).
Definitely going to do everything I possibly can to make it out there to see Liverpool when they're here, glad they're giving all of us over here a chance to see them here.

For clarity, the difference there is because some seats in centerfield are blocked off during day games because of how people's shirts during the daylight interfere with the hitter's backdrop that the ball is coming out of (don't worry if that doesn't make much sense). The short version is, that isn't something that would make any difference for Football, so, it would be the larger of those numbers.

I also wouldn't be surprised if some additional temporary seating was put in place for the match, since obviously not all of the field would be needed (for instance, behind the sidelines in the picture above). We'll see though.

Anyone who went to the Celtic game - were seats up in the Green Monster available for sale?  I know they sell at a premium these days for ball games but it might be too good an opportunity to pass up....

Actually booked my hotel room several days ago - looking forward to it!

Yes please. It'd be an amazingly long and expensive trip for me from Michigan to Boston. Let me know if they plan to visit Chicago. It'd be way cheaper. I'd do damn near anything to go see them in Chicago.

Will be flying in from the west coast for sure if they are only playing games on the east coast. Anyone fancy putting me up while I'm there :)? I will provide good wishes and booze.

FS, do you know more of the summer schedule? Any chance they are coming to the west coast as well? Will have to book flights soonish to be actually able to afford it.

Have you looked at taking the train or a greyhound? Might be cheaper depending on what you drive.

So excited they're finally coming to the US.  Based on the pic above, the pitch looks like it's going to be VERY short.  Not 100% sure if I'm going to go to this, as Baltimore would be a lot closer to be and the seats will probably have much better views.  Of course, that's not confirmed yet but it seems likely.

I would love to see Liverpool play in the New Shea Stadium (whatever the new name is, I believe its Citi Field).  I felt they should have done this the first time they came here in 2004.  Play up the whole Liverpool/Beatles thing.

Either ball park would be immensely preferable to the Meadowlands!!!  Beautiful stadium - hell on earth to get to and from.

That said, the free beer stands in the parking lot before the Roma game in 2004 were greatly appreciated...

Terrisus - I asked before further up - do you reckon tickets on the Green Monster will be sold for this?  And any thoughts as to how much they might be?

Do have to say I'd love to know which bright spark at the club decided to put these tickets on sale on a matchday!!

Don't see any reason why they wouldn't, so I would imagine so.
For regular games they're at a decent premium over what all the other standard tickets are, so, while I don't have a clue how much they'll be charging for tickets to this match, I would imagine they would similarly be at a premium.

I've never actually bought a ticket up there, but have been up to look a couple of times while nothing was going on. It's interesting, to say the least. Not necessarily the best place to watch from (although they might actually work better as seats for a Football match), but, something different anyway.

Thanks - I knew they sold at a premium for Red Sox games; was just wondering if they even keep it open for other events there.  (And how much above the "regular" ticket prices one might expect them to be.)  As it will probably be my first and only time in Fenway, it was a thought.   Though I'm not the greatest with heights so probably not!

Here's their regular pricing chart for games (clicking on any of the sections will also show a typical view from that section, for anyone curious). Although I would imagine that the pricing would be different for this match, one because it's not exactly a typical event, and two because the configuration used for Baseball is much different from the one used for Football, and so many of the seats that are premium because of being in an ideal position for watching Baseball wouldn't be the same for watching Football.

And, yeah, honestly, that was my main issue as well, that I'm not the best with heights  :P Usually stay on the first level myself
