Slight change of thread, instead of just the X Games, a thread with a wider scope was needed so, here we be.

BMXing, Jet Skiing, Skateboarding, Abseiling, Windsurfing, Bungee Jumping, Snowboarding, Parkour, Rollerblading, whatever your extreme heart desires.

No interest at all.

I couldn't name any BMXer, Skateboarder or Snowboarder but I love watching these fellas do their stuff.

I used to watch the skateboarding half pipe contest and some of the BMX stuff.

One of my earliest memories of it was when Bob Burnquist and Bucky Lasek went head to head and Bob was landing all sorts of switch tricks. Oh and Tony Hawk landing the 900. Good times

I guess I'll have to download it

First memory I have of it was Hawk landing the 900, everyone just stopped skating and just let him continue until he landed it, brilliant.
Great memories. I watched the Burnquist/Lasek again yesterday. Great Stuff.

Greatest moment for me was Napolitan landing the double front flip in '09.

Nice one. Totally forgot about this. Probably been asked before but is this likely to be shown on TV at all over here?

I enjoy watching the BMXers & Skateboarders . Never done any of it myself & don't know shit about it but enjoy watching .

Also enjoy the Flatland BMXers aswell

Anyone with even just a slight interest should watch these two documentaries.

Don't think so mate. As far as I know, ESPN will have an hour long highlights show, around 8/8.30am each morning.

Think it'll be a stream job, unfortunately.

Shawn White said he isn't going to be there to defend his Vert Skateboard title.  Really disappointing.

I saw him at the Burton US Open snowboard championship in Vermont back in March.  Unreal how much better he is than everyone else -a whole different level.   He was the first rider and won on his first run.  The fact he set the bar so high on his first run forced everyone to ride out of their skin to try and catch him.   Best part was Shawn didn't dog it on his 2nd and 3rd run.  He pushed it and took risks.

And ditto to West Ham Paul - "Dogtown and Z Boys" is an excellent documentary.

Indeed, must admit it's been a while since I watched any kind of BMX event, but some of the tricks in that video are insanem the stuff they can pull of now is nothing short of amazing.

The front flip after rolling backward up a ramp is so boss

spent most of my weekend laying around and watching this.  some of the tricks the kids are landing these days is mind blowing and they are only around 12 years old.  the trick they do to set themselves up for their main trick was as good as it got when i was skating and riding around (if that makes sense).  they really dont have any fear.
