We'll probably win, Maxi might start, he'll end up being our best, if not one of our best players on the pitch and more than likely end up with a goal should we win, that won't be enough though, he has to do more.

Did you cheer for his goal or were you fearing to get a dicking from the missus?

Maybe we'll score from a corner or from a penalty or something.

Or maybe we'll keep Skrtel and Coates marking fresh air on the halfway line like we did yesterday.

maxi didnt train for 2-3 days so didnt play yesterday.

obviously there is a reason that maxi isnt playing and it cant be because kenny doesnt rate him,as he scores nearly everytime he plays, must be some other reason that we will probably never find out.

surely kenny would play him if he could

To be fair, Skrtel was pressing and won the ball high in the pitch at times - Might be in to cover for Lucas?

Then we put Coates-Carra at the back and attack with 8 persons. If we dont score, then something is wrong.

Oh, 0-0 vs Stoke at Anfield, almost forgot......

Anyway, this is a win. As long as we dont face a meatwall we in fact will hit the woodwork at least and if Maxi can play, its alright! 0-1 us!

Going to loan Coates - Or at least that would be something booth they and we could win at, even if he cant play vs us.

But hey, lets face it - They wouldnt sell him for that low at this point if they didnt know they in fact could get a replacement.

Did any one notice how Jamie kept screaming at Skrtel and Coates and giving them down the banks to get back every time they moved into an advanced position or were coming back from a run.  Jamie hates being left as the last man defender when he get a start in the team now, lost a bit of his nerve and conference.  Because Crouch does not need to be marked by 3 defenders, it's not like he's Messi.
With everything thats going on, its bolted on that were getting "Old Whiskey Nose" and his has beens at Anfield.

We should have won a lot of games that should have been nailed on wins but we didnt. So I wouldnt take anything for granted. Kenny needs to look at hi tactics- if he is going to play 3-5-2 then Carroll needs to start and we also need atleast 1 of the midfielders in the box when the full backs cross the ball. Agger or Coates whoever plays should be given the license to break from defence with the ball.

Martin did break forward many times last night, and did it well. Also won the ball back, and when he didnt, he was back in position atleast and won the air duel. Was so guuuud.

There are times when I have been impressed by our performances but the end result has always been the same ...borderline lottary outcomes - win some and lose some and draw almost all at home. The season started with so much hope but it is turning out to be something of a nightmare.

I just hope and wish the new boys have not hit their top form as I believe most of us are still expecting more from them.
Ashley Williams: "I wanted to hit Luis Suarez". "Having played against him twice now I just have to say that I don't like the bloke. Basically I have no time for the guy at all." LFC target? I hope not. I would rather deal with Suarez on daily basis than bad dressing room.

Looking forward to this one. Like to see Kenny freshen things, up by putting maxi and Craig Bellamy into the starting line up. He seems to do well when we play away. Bolton are certainly there for the taking. I think we're much more suitable to away games as the onus is on the home team to come out and have a go.
Granted we've a big week ahead in the cups but we need to take care of business at the reebok first.

Anyone know how jays doing?
That right peg hits it and you see the future arc of the ball and time goes al gluey like a Dali painting, and for a second there's a 20yr old StevenGerrard and your young self cheering him on through the prism. Don't: play 5 defenders

Do: play 2 forwards

Don't: worry about Boltons team

Do: have confidence that our best XI will be good enough to beat whatever team Bolton put out

I don't know what to expect. A draw here and wins over the mancs wouldn't surprice me at all. But please, smash them back to the stone age! Bolton has a pretty good away record, but they are poor at home. That can only be an advantage for us.

Hopefully Bellamy will be able to start that one as we need some pace going forward but will that preclude him from starting against City ?

Which game is the focus on ? League or Wembley ?

With the FA cup game against Utd coming up on the 28th as well, it would probably be best to start Bellamy against Bolton and Utd a week later, and have him on the bench for City.
