Now that's just not true is it? Kenny is a legend as our greatest player, one of our best managers and a wonderful ambassador for our club. But making ott statements like the above help no-one.
Yep. He has said himself that nobody, not even himself, is bigger than the club
Twitter - https://twitter.com/NickyGarewal

Controversially, if it came down to a choice between selling Suarez and selling Carroll, I’d sell Suarez.

Is the new Kenny song (Flower of Scotland) going to be sung at this game?
That would be a great song once it got established.
The clap clap clap clap clap clap Dalglish chant isn't one that will belt out round the ground
for a few minutes like Rafa's old song.
Could be on a par with FOAR very soon once it get's going.

Yep. He has said himself that nobody, not even himself, is bigger than the club

Modesty is so rare in football.
Kenny's not bigger than the club, but he embodies its ideals on and off the pitch.
His contributions as a player, manager and supporter are unique.
If Shankly began the process of making this club the best in the world, Kenny Dalglish saw it to completion. His ability on the pitch was something we will never see again, his approach to building a team was breath-takingly ambitious but also very simple.

But it is the man's character that really marks him out. Gerrard is great at kicking a ball, and is an inspirational leader on the field, Barnes could do things with a ball that took your breath away and brought tears to the eye, but neither had the humility and compassion of Dalglish.

He is everything a player, or a person, should want to be.

If Liverpool Football Club was a human being, it would be Kenny Dalglish. If it was very lucky.

I wonder if Kenny will shake the manc tramp's hand before this? He would set himself up
for a fall if he did'nt but it would be very hard for a man of honour to shake that turd's hand
knowing his recent involvement.
I have a day dream where he walks up to him and sticks the head on him.

I hope the Flower of Scotland song does get an airing, it would be awesome if it really took off.

I was watching a clip of the Kop back in the day (old black and white film) and they started singing YNWA.  The commentator said 'and now the Anfield choir starts singing'  It was wonderful, really like a choir but they were singing it so slowly, beautiful really.

It was so good the commentator just went quiet and to listen to them.

Nowadays you'd think people got a bonus for finishing quickly.

In those days the media were swooning over Liverpool. We had the beatles and the mersey sound. The T.V was awash with scouse comedians. There was still high unemployment then
and the people were no different to now. Then the tories decided that we were the worst of
the worst and the media and the masses followed.

I can't make the game because I didn't go to Oldham (and thats totally fair enough by the way).

But I agree with -HH-. It doesn't really matter whether he is "above" it, any human being would appreciate the support from the stands. And surely it matters more if we do it without his bequest. For him to turn up, perhaps not reading online boards and seeing the support for him would mean a lot to him lets not pretend it wouldn't. He won't ask for it though and thats the mark of the man.

And if I could be there I'd knock up a banner. It's only befitting for the man who has (despite the presses assertions) restored the reputation of the club with the fans that matter, US.

So let no-one convince you otherwise, he deserves it.

Yep. He has said himself that nobody, not even himself, is bigger than the club

This "bigger than the club" shit pisses me off. Does no-one remember the day we marched for Rafa?

How about we put it another way. KENNY ISN'T BIGGER THAN THE CLUB.
BUT
KENNY IS THE CLUB - RIGHT NOW.

Back him. I'm sure the players who invest their faith in Kenny won't mind. This fairytale where players who are subject to abuse at Old Trafford are supposed to turn around at Anfield and see Kenny banners and then cock up is absolute bollocks, lets be real please. I really think its detrimental pissing on a worthwhile bonfire. Backing Kenny before the game, and the players during, should hopefully send a message to anyone who works within the club that we will stand by them through whatever.

I've been fortunate enough to play a fans match in Milan the day before we played Inter Milan (Torres 1-0) (we wpn 1-0 as well infact as well and I scored ;) ), and while it means nothing coming from me and I am not comparable to football players - 40-50 of the lads watching decided to break into "Liverpool, Liverpool" during the match and I felt an extra energy inside me, and when "You'll Never Walk Alone" started at the end, I could only imagine to begin to imagine how that would feel at Anfield for a big game, I'm 24 but a very unfit bastard and I found energy levels I couldn't find before.

Let's forget devil's advocate, get behind Kenny before the game, get behind the players during the game and dick these pretenders off the field and get into the 5th round hey?

Errrrr he isnt

He obviously isn't 'LFC' in the sense that one is a club and the other is an individual.  But in terms of what he's done for the club, the way he's represented the club, the trophies he's delivered, the football he's graced us with, and the way he conducted himself throughout the Hillsborough disaster, then as close as any individual could get to being described as 'being the club', he comes fairly close.

Wanted to say it better, but couldn't.

Lads if your going, do him proud.

While the media were willing to stick the knife in him for defending his player on "probabilities" he took it from all angles and we've all watched it happen, we've seen the "Mirror" back pages, we've seen Maddock's crock of shit reporting. -HH- is right, we love our players, but whats so wrong about backing our manager, I'm 24 it's the first time I've been blessed with a manager apart from Evans/Houllier and Benitez and while I love them all, especially Benitez, I cannot put into words the affection I have for Dalglish. He deserves everything he gets and I mean that in terms of us standing shoulder to shoulder with him.

He's getting it in the neck from all sorts of people, starting with the media, and not only that, but all of those they have convinced to feel against him and we are arguing over whether it's worth backing him or not? I think that's shameful. He deserves whatever we can provide him with, it was only a year and a half ago, we had Hodgson and the two c*nts. Come on lads, lets stop playing Devil's Advocate and support the man who has thrown himself in front of the media bus for us and our best player, put his reputation on the line for a player he believes in and has been hung out to dry by the press. He deserves more than our appreciation, he deserves a rapturous reception
